Battlefield 5

So, the EA E3 Conference is has come and gone, and they promised no lootboxes or a premium pass. Of course, this is EA we're talking about, and 'customization' was a big part of what they talked about. So look forward to $5-15 character t-shirts or hair colors being shoved in your face at every opportunity.
Because I paid for it, I keep going back and trying the game to hopefully get a better feel for it. No joy to date.
With my new 1080TI and my new Alienware 34" ultrwide monitor I will try BF1 and Battlefront 2 again.
Abandoning BF1 will be easy.....but Battlefront 2 is so flipping beautiful I want to learn to play it just for the visual grandeur.

I do the same thing with the same result. BF1 just doesn't play well. I've never played Battlefront though.
I think, at least for me, gaming is a state of mind. I approach each game as a challenge. Each has it's merits. When I sit down to play I forget about the world for awhile and immerse myself into what the developer brought to market. Granted, some games are not as enjoyable as others but I still get to escape from the daily grind for a brief period of time. My work and life doesn't afford me as much time as I would like to play. But those times I do play keep me balanced. I can't say enough about the caliber of people I have had the pleasure of becoming friends with here at AARP. Playing here is my drug of choice. So buy the game or don't buy the game. It's your choice.

I'm still going to wait and see what they do with the game and monetization before I go for any purchasing decisions.

And looking to the periphery at "Anthem" and maybe trying some Ghost Recon. Used to love GR back in the day. Great COOP game back with 1 and 2.
Guess I'll google "Insurgency Sandstorm" and see what its about too.
Looks like Sandstorm will be the 4th release in the series. Insurgency which was released in 2014 is modern day and looks really good. They released one last year that went back to WW2.
I think the multiplayer game play of Sandstorm looks amazing. Youtube has a ton of videos for it. If it plays well and has a decent community it might be a buy. Insurgency is $10 on steam. I read hit boxes are realistic, meaning 1 shot headshot kill with any weapon and 2-3 body shots from an semi auto rifle.
It looks good... I rather see in Multi how is going to look
Looks just like the winter maps in BF1. If game play, weapon fire, bullet spread and hit boxes are the same I wont get it.
