Battlefield 5

EA is going to ruin this franchise altogether with 3 duds in a row.

1) Battlefield Hardline (Never even tried it after the beta)
2) Battlefield 1 (I keep trying to like it, but just keep hating on it)
3) Battlefield V (I was looking forward to no longer dealing with no talent / no aim meep-meep-meep radar shooters and soflams. EA are shitting in their own shoes)

While the fans scream for BFBC3, or BF2143, they ignore us and feed us this politically pandering / patronizing alternate universe historically complete with sophisticated mechanical prosthetics.

Trying to keep an open mind. But I may lean towards WW3 when it comes out.

WW3 reminds me of a beta I was on with THQ group called "Frontlines: Fuel of War". It had drones too and it was a pretty cool game. Never went anywhere but it was fun being involved with the Alpha and Beta development.

I believe they (EA) are trying to capitalize on the "MODERN WAR" fatigue, after BF1 had such a huge (initial) launch. Since it's EA, they'll try and run with that. 2142 didn't sell as well as 2 or 3 did, so it's pretty low priority. I'm sure DICE would like to work on it, but E "We kill all the studios we buy" A has different ideas.

Of course always is not the players that is for sure..

I played these maps 100s of times when it was in development

I really enjoyed the experience and I liked the game too.

Did you pre-order BF5? Wondering if the Alpha was available to BF4 and BF1 players as well.

Yes I did. I pre-ordered BF 1 too before it came out. If I remember correctly I had Alpha access as well.

But I know for a fact that BF V alpha was available to both BF 4 and BF 1 players.

I don't know how they pick the people to give access to.

I just played 6 rounds and I like the game. I leveled up 3 times. You can't change the graphics settings though. Or at least I have not found it. I think it is on medium. But it still looks good.

When you get shot anywhere but the head, you fall and start to bleed out. If you call for a medic you can sustain yourself for about 15 more seconds. If your lucky you get revived. Plus, while your laying there you can move 360 degrees looking for medical supplies. One time I actually found one.

In a squad when you die, before you spawn you can select a team mate spectate him spawn when and where you want.

Planes fly slow enough that you can shoot them down with the AA if you can avoid the bombs.

Another thing is that there is a lot of stuff on fire. If you get too close you start to take damage.

Thanks for an update. How do you like the way the guns shoot? Is it closer to BF4 or BF1. I found the guns in BF1 to be too slow and too much recoil.

Well, you have to consider the theater that is represented in the game. BF1, WWI, the weapons did shoot slow with a lot of recoil. BF V, I would say is in the middle leaning towards BF4.

The maps are nice. A lot of structures and cover. Almost everything is destructible.

Thanks Carp!!! That's good to hear.

So far I love this game. I hope they have dedicated servers. If they do I am going to rent one just for the hell of it. I'll turn it over to you guys to control. The email I received yesterday said that I will have beta access as well as 2 week early access when the game is released because of pre-order.

Thanks for the "update" reads like more realistic oh shit :)
