The new video of BF4 is not that thrilling. Though I see they put a female, watch out boys "POPTART" will go more crazy with ucav.

No Kool-Aid drinker me I've got to wait and see and try the Beta but ...

This jackfrags video is actually fairly succinct and has some interesting developments ...

What comes to mind?

- 3rd-person omniscient view when spawning on teammates
- Medic can drag friendlies to safer area before healing/revive
- Similar ammo situation to BF1942 where you have depots at every capped flag
- 4-person co-op mode (mixed feelings about this because historically it doesn't compare to the full frenzy of a packed multiplayer map)
- Apparently you can dive any direction and fire prone from the side(s) a la R6:Siege
- Staged destructibility of buildings--not just the whole thing comes down after enough walls are shot out
- Directional destructibility--tank hits from this side, wall caves in the other direction--(Thanks, Newton)
- A wee bit of base-building, wherein you can improvise redoubts when needed

Bunch of other stuff--this is apparently what lit up the gray matter as I shuttled through, though.

One of the big downsides to BF1 was its strong resemblance to Battlefront and that annoying as hell unlock/crate system.

Despite WWII a favorite FPS era, a cartoonish weapon unlock system and the presence of Barbie-like paid perks will detract but ... a lot remains to be seen.

Well if the trailer is any indication of the game play it looks like a continuation of BF1 bull shit and that just plain sucks balls. I will check out the beta when it is released but still won't make up my mind till I see how the public is reacting to it. I agree with AKULA in the fact that I want to play away from EA and not having them in control of the game. You guys at AARP have created one of the best servers on the face of the planet and I am proud to be part of the family on this amazing server. So if you guys stay in the BF4 era because you can't rent and manage a BF5 server STRYKER will be here with you. And another thing I agree with AKULA on is "FUCK YOU EA!!!". Live long and don't take shit...............STRYKER.

As for me, and unlike what I've read here, I don't put that much thought and/or research into a "game". I merely want to immerse myself into a visually lush environment and forget about the world outside for a brief period of time. The fact is that there are more years behind me than in front of me has a lot to do with my decisions on how I spend my free time. The world has a lot to offer and I want to try as many as I can before I die.

I pre-ordered the game this afternoon.

I'm going to wait for them to monetize the game (and they will. This is EA we're talking about). I'm not interested in more Battlefront 2-Style Lootboxes or 50 hour grinds for a single unlock.

Nice Carp!!! I'm sure the visuals will not disappoint.

I saw the preorder was $80 for deluxe. Not bad considering BF1 was $120 for deluxe with all maps.

Well said Carp.... I always find that when I train and spend more time with family I play this game better and with less, for lack of a better word, frustration. I never want to be the German kid who smashed his Keyboard out of rage. Pretty sure that clip is still on YouTube lol.

I'll stick with BF 4 until I see the value in buying into another EA product. FUCK YOU EA!

The EA elites purposely boosted the hype of BF4 to raise the stock price FULLY knowing that it was too buggy to be released. The night before release they sold their stocks and made a killing! Insider trading is illegal and guess what! None of them did time for it.

So yeah lol, FUCK YOU EA. It's because of companies like EA that people still pirate software.

Fuck I just thought of something.... We should buy EA stock and sell the night before!!!!

I Just seen the supposed Trailer..... I've not ever seen WW2 Look as the Characters depicted.
Total B.S. the Strong aggressive female???? WTH...
I'm Not P.C. and refuse to give a penny for such P.C. Crud ..
Looks Just Like BF1.
Needless to say I will not be Buying it! As of this time!

I hate political correctness too but believe it or not women played a vital role in WW2.

In the U.S. They built tanks, bombers, fighter planes and the weapons. Jobs usually reserved for men.

In Canada women built and FLEW the Lancaster bombers from Avro in Milton Ontario to the U.K. for delivery. Without the women to fly them the supply line would have been severely crippled as most of the men were fighting overseas. I can;t speak for the U.S. but I would guess that women flew the U.S.'s aircraft over there as well. This took guts and a lot of mental toughness. They had to fly through airspace that was sometimes occupied by German fighters.

In Europe, namely France and Poland, women fought alongside men as a rebel force in the occupied countries. Women even worked as spies for MI5 and MI6

And finally there were the nurses that patched all the men up. This spanned every country both allied and axis.

This female character was probably a compromise to avoid negative press by women saying that there weren't any women in the game. Typical marketing tactic considering it's EA lol.

so my opinion of the trailer was that is was like all other first trailers in that it focused on the campaign mode play (as an excerpt) and not multiplayer.

going to wait and see.... we have enough diehard BF4 players to kill each other for years!
