Bye bye V8s

I do recall reading an article where the fire dept was just drenching it and they had to let it burn out in the end and called Tesla to try and figure out what to do with it if I remember correctly. I’ve been on a Land Cruiser binge this guy makes me want one even though I don’t need it lol.

Ill be honest, I don't buy into the EV hype, I don't think people will buy them in mass unless forced. They have too many issues. The Environmental and humanitarian impact of manufacturing batteries and solar cells is being suppressed by the media. To convince the average person to buy a EV you have to leave out a few inconvenient truths.

Another thing that I don't like is the Fires, The temperatures of the fires are mind-blowing. We think of burns in the respect of First, Second, and Third Degrees. Battery fires in Cars leave Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth degree burns... if you survive that is. The fumes are toxic, like really toxic, First responders can not approach an accident with a fire without risking deadly toxic fumes that would kill them in weeks. The batteries and most of the EV and "renewable" technology is not recyclable. It ends up in piles of toxic waste. The methods of mining the rare minerals needed are horrifying as well.
Ive never seen a positive media spin on EVs.

In the long run they will be necessary but its a long road. When wind and solar produce the majority of our energy. I guess the positives of global warming and more chaotic weather is more wind and sunnier days :ROFLMAO:

Oil is finite. The sooner we can get away from it on the consumer level the more secure our country will be.

Comparing oil to the elements required to produce high drain lithium batteries is interesting. Neither are a renewable resource. But lithium batteries can be salvaged and recycled to a point.

The price point on what I was seeing in the last few years for Tesla comparable electric motors is still a little high. Maybe there are other options available now. Hard to swap in an electric setup without doing a lot of fab right now. I can see more shops doing this in the future, and I hope they succeed.

I've though hard about trading my Jeep on a scat pack or I might just dump a hemi and tons into it. Scat pack would be fun, but so would a built trail rig.

Last weekend i was at a german US Car Meeting. It is a great community with incredible and uniqe cars. We drive our selves 2 us cars and we love it. We hope that your V8's never die
If only I had a Time Machine. So tempting but I have to ask myself how many miles do I get before I spend 10k in maintenance. E63 is fantastic for what it was at its time. https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=677631692&listingType=USED&makeCode=MB&modelCode=E63AMG&newSearch=true&numRecords=24&referrer=/cars-for-sale/mercedes-benz/e-63-amg&searchRadius=50&sortBy=relevance&zip=78201&clickType=supplemental

I use to be a huge fan of black but damn is it a pain in the ass to maintain that color and have OCD at the same time. I like to try and clean my car once a week it’s like a form of therapy. No kids and never married so the car gets all the love. If I was president it would be a law to make all car manufacturers have at least 4 layers of clear coat baked on especially living in Texas where this heat just rocks your paint over time.
I have 3 white cars .. Most of my cars have been white for that exact reason and now I live on a dirt road so keeping a black car clean is impossible

It’s all fun and games until a bird shits on your black paint and it’s summer time. It’s like getting your car egged it just ravages the clear coat. My IS500 will be white or silver when I cross that bridge. White hides many more impurities my old g37 sedan looked better then lots of newer darker cars and I kept it outside but washed it once a week or less.

My mustang is white, and it's not my favorite. I'm not going to spend a bunch to change the color though because it has 75k miles, but maybe a paint correction someday. If my road ever gets fixed anyways. (It's technically a paved road but the dirt sides are safer and smoother)

Got the shitbox cleaned up again. Post some pics of y’all’s shitbox. Hondas, bicycles, lambos, who cares post what ya drive into the dirt on the daily.

I might have to pull a Xtream and hop in a Stang. The Camaros gone and the challengers are heading to the chopping block. I love the 2024 GTs refresh it’s looking really nice they are finally getting unloaded off trucks at the Ford dealerships. Xtream if you do read this I will ask how’s the paints quality on your more fancy model and build quality? Sell me your car lol.

She's a beaut! Good choice going with the Rubicon.

Does it have a little lift in it already? The JL's can fit a slightly larger tire diameter than the JK's iirc.

6spd?
Couldn’t find a six speed when I got it. I’m pretty impatient and don’t want to wait. It’s got 33s now and can fit 35s easy. A little lift over stock and the fender wells and flares make it easy.
