I got an ASUS M5A78-M LX mobo. I did a look for driver updates and they end at 2013. This board is too old to do much with now. and the AMD FX 8350 I saw noting on the AMD web site for the driver update.

what OS you have right now ? and what version of bios now on your mb ?
you can check what software version is..
End release is 2018 for chipest for win 10 32/64 bit

if you have it already then try reinstall it and see what Dumo say

Put your old CPU back in and see if the issue corrects itself. Maybe time to update the MB or pick up a used updated MB or even a used computer for cheap and swap out the hardware as needed.
lol, Animallll! I just did that last night so I could play. And you are right about getting a new MoBo.
Thanks to all for giving me good advice. I'm putting this dog to rest until I need more horsepower. As it was I was only getting 10 frames more with the new CPU. CPU usage went down to 60%, but something was causing a bottle neck at higher cpu speeds.
Whenever you're ready to do the upgrade, let us know. I'm sure there's plenty who'd want to help you buy the right parts.
