BF4 crashing solved

My MoBo been working just fine. It's just after I put in this 8 core CPU that I see issues. I have same brand 6 core and it runs smooth.

Decvice Manager -- Disconnect ---> Sound. Video and Game Controllers --> High Definition Audio Device .

Now Open Nvidia control Panel

On top of bar ( Display ) Checked while On Left Side Panel ( Set Up G SYNC )

On Set Up G SYNC ( should be Enabale on Full Sreecn Mode )

On lefty Panel ( pick Manager 3D Setting ) (n Progrtam Setting )-- BF4/exe or x86

The Setup I Have Is :

Max Frame Rate ( if you have 144 then Locked at 141
Monitor Technolgy - G SYNC Compatible
Power Management Mode - Prefer Maximum Performance
Preferred Rehresh Rate (Highest Avaliable )
Verical SYNC -On ( while in game TURNOFF )

save when done :)

let me know about that

BIOS - HWMonitor - Everest
SYS = TMPIN0 = Motherboard
CPU = TMPIN1 = CPU
MCH = TMPIN2 = Northbridge

did you update the chipest ? / maybe last one is bad or whatever

Those are temps under gaming conditions? If so, then your VC isn't getting much of a workout.
Might be a silly question but do you have onboard video? Make sure that's disabled in the bios.

I dont have G-Sync. I use the Asus Display port.

Understood / So , do you have freesync ? .. if not then only way you want see high fps is on bf4 :Command to Limit Your Frame Rate in Battlefield 4

Press tilde (~) to open the console.
Type in gametime. maxvariablefps ( put the # in here )
Press Enter.
Press tilde again to close the console

that what i used to do till i got G SYNC :)

New day. Uninstalled the GeForce Experience driver. Still getting FPS drops about every 45 seconds.

8bAd8, Will put in FPS limit in BF4 next.

try without GeForce Experience , so use normal one ( heard about GeForce Experience is bad )

I had that uninstalled last night. Playing this morning I saw no difference.

Changed gametimer in BF4 user file to 75 FPS limit. Game played for a lot longer before FPS drops. Screen motion seemed to be off. It was hurting my eyes. Started failing about 10 minutes into game.

I'm starting to suspect one core being bad in this CPU.

Did you check the usage like I suggested? It could be a Memory problem if there's no other hang-ups. How's the Paging File being handled?

If you use Resource Monitor (It's a Windows Tool), under the Memory Tab, see if there are a large number of "Hard Faults" occurring. Hard Faults are when the computer swaps something to, or from RAM to/from Disk.

Animal, seems that the BIOS knows I have a video card installed. BIOS settings for it is in photo.

GFX0-GPP-IGFX-PCI is for PCE-16 card.

I use that and it help / Click right ( this pc ) --> Properties --> at bottom ( security and maintenace ) --> Maintenace then View Reliability history and you will see each date if any crash ..

I will put my 2 cents in here....

1. Hard locks = memory problem
2. Game crash with sound loop = onboard audio problem
3. Game crash to desktop = software conflicts

I will assume #3 here so download Saphire Trixx then set fan to 40% fixed, uninstall EVGA precision and flush down toilet..has been shown to have a hook conflict in Win 10. Have had problems with OSD so I have not used them for years

Check Apps and features (where you uninstalled Precision)for Microsoft C++ 2012, should have two versions, a 64bit and a 32bit only. I have had problems and found 3 64bit versions so I uninstall the older versions (gives version on mouse over) and all is good again

8bAd8 here is a pic of what Dumo found. Sumo didnt see anything wrong.

Master Chief, those CPU's are power hungry, you need to set the BIOS to feed em

you could try to used the optimized default settings from the BIOS, once inside the BIOS, it's the F5 (if am not wrong)

or you could try to adjust manually the settings to feed that beast

CPU Frequency = 4.00GHz (dont go beyond 4, it will crash)
CPU Ratio = 20x
CPU VCore = 1.375 (if needed, go 1.425 but no more of that)
NB Core = 1.175
HT Link = 1.200
CPU PPL = 2.5
NB/PCIe/PLL = 1.800
Vcore loadline calibration = +100%
DRAM Volt = 1.5, in my case, i always use 1.65 for DDR3 for better stability
Disable C1E - C6 - APM

now, if the defaults or the manual adjust settings dont work, and the computer kept crashing, open the case, take the battery out, for no more than 30 seconds to erase everything, and start by do the 1st step of optimized settings

hope it helps Master Chief

before he do that change .. need to see what setup in bios is so no messup :)
