Ram being used as Hardware use

Anyone more that welcome to come visit me in Central Kentucky.

I do have a fat bag of them pillow size marshmellows.

My Bios shows I have 1302. The Asus website seems to not be able to help me as the highest OS i can use is Windows 8. this board is pretty old at 2012.

I checked both Ram sticks individually. Seeing 1600 MHZ on both. Suppose to be 1866 mhz DDR3.

These are Kingston HyperX Fury two kit.

Your mobo and it's current bios version may not support beyond 1600mhz.
It seems that way. The manual I have says that 1866 (OC) was available to use, but qualified only three manufacturers. Mine was not listed.

I can acculaly use just 4 gig playiing BF4 somehow just fine. Only when the system gets hit with a download while playing do i see a drag on FPS.

Probably could replace MoBo with a newer model that has PCIe 3.0 and a new CPU and use these sticks. Will have to see.

If 1866mhz is rated as OC, you would have to put a little extra time into overclocking your mobo to run the RAM at 1866mhz. Maybe it's just a toggle in bios, I don't know..

1600mhz is fine for running BF4.

And you've got a GTX 1070 for a GPU, right? That's what I'm running in my desktop. Works perfectly well for BF4 and most games at 1080p.

XMP Memory Profile is what i use . No time to Oc like i did in past

maybe someday

Yes, I have the GTX 1070 also. My FPS runs mostly in the 70-80 FPS. That is half of what my 144hz monitor can utililize. Would like smoother sideways movement while turning.

Will let this be for now. Going from 1600mhz to 1866mhz would only give me 5 fps more. Not worth the trouble. I just wonder how much longer this BF4 game will last for us before I need mor computing power.

Bad to the bone, what MoBo you using now? My upgrade soon.
I don't have it but i sold to my young brother and still running . the MoBo is sabertooth 990fx 2.0.

I think it better for you get new cpu too .

it does not sopport window 11 or later because of ----

(
The AMD FX processors were released between 2011 and 2014 and they would not have the security requirements for Windows 11, while it is possible to install Windows 11 on an unsupported processor, honestly on a processor from that era, it would be best not to, your hardware is not strong enough for Windows 11)

if your going keep window 10 till 2025 to have whole new system pc .

right now my specs is
Window 10 pro -22H2
X570 AORUS ELITE
RYZEN 7 3700X
G.SKILL Trident Z Series(2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz
ROG Strix GTX 1070 Ti Advanced edition
Samsung 970 EVO 250GB - NVMe (OS)
Samsung SSD 860 EVO 500GB (Games) = x 2
EVGA SuperNOVA 750 P2

will build new one soon so my brother want my pc LOL

Of course as you rebuild to a different MoBo you have to get a whole new CPU and new memory. I dont think that an upgraded MoBo would take my DDR3 sticks if it is designed for DDR4 or DDR5.

What FPS are you seeing now? I am getting around 60FPS and that is less thatn half of what my 144hz monitor can display. My GTX 1070 Graphics card is running at about 45% utilization.

agree with about rebuild .

was 144 so i set cap at 142 than 144 .

right now on my build specs is 165 hz so i set again at 162 cap.

NVCP

set profile and

max frame rates - locked to 142 or any number you want
montitior tech - pick g sync
open Gl rendering gpu - 1070
power managment mode - max performance
prefered refresh rate - highestr rate
vertical sync - on and in game off

in Bf4 option for video . you will see the fps number locked , pick these ( let said you set 80 amd you will see there )
