Need help with CPU Water Cooling

My GUP usage is at 35% right now. I've tun the EVGA Precision 16 and fan speed is set to auto. No heat issues with the card at this time. Thought you were talking about the CPU gan profile.

Most of the time, you can change the CPU fan speed profile in the BIOS. But since it's a desktop, the default will probably set the speed to 100% after reaching a certain temp. You can try afterburner our something, but I wouldn't bother. I think an adequate cooler and case should be sufficient.

Well, got the case in today. Did the swap of everything I needed . Had an issue getting the computer to come online. Found I had connected the power and reset switch plugs to a USB port instead. Came up ok.

Not happy with the hard drive ports. Only allows for two SSD drives. Need one more startd Hard Drive to install (backup). Will look for small SSD trays to squeeze in my larger one. Right now its sitting at an angle near the front.

The two 200mm fans are now connected to the motherboard chassis post for power so they spin at a constant speed. Mp ARPG posrt on MB. I think there is a adapter to use the ARGB cable for temerature speeds. All in all there is enough air being pushed through the case. Maybe not when I get the faster CPU installed.

That case should definitely push enough air for the CPU. Now it's up to your CPU cooler to do the rest. For SSDs, it doesn't really matter where they go, they don't have any moving parts so they aren't affected by vibration and such as HDDs.

Noctua is top of the class for air coolers, and their NH-D15 outperforms a lot of liquid coolers. It would actually be overkill unless you're overclocking.
For an FX-8350, I would recommend the Noctua NH-U12A.

Dan, my current Heatsink with fan has the four leg motherboard attachment to secure the heatsink down. The following link is an example of what I have. Will the two clamp down screws on the NH-U12A comve off for clearance?

from that ebay , i think that is for intel .

there should be 2 different plate bracket .

That's a great resource.

I think either choice is good, it would come down to price and compatibility with your case/RAM clearance.

The NH-U12A has one fin stack and two 120mm fans. It has a newer fin stack and fan design than the NH-D15.
The NH-D15 has two fin stacks, and two 140mm fans. Because it's so large, there is less compatibility. I can only have one fan in the middle in my case because of the clearance with my ram sticks. With only one fan, it is still overkill for my R5 3600.

Trying to get some more speed and better performance out of my AMD 3+ Socket mother board.

I have a AMD FX-6300 six core CPU installed, but I have another FX-8259 eight core in my desk drawer. The faster CPU tended to overheat and faulted out and the pipes heat sink didnt do the job. I think last year I wa talking to Animalll about the issue and he thought I needed a water cooler. Dont think my current case has room for one.

Please tell me how water gets circulated with a water cooler? Recommendations?

I'll probibly get a new case soon with my fans. The one I have has a SoundBlaster sticker on it. I'm guessing 25 years old.

Hi Gunney. Did you figure out what you're gonna do? Let me know if you need any help!

Here's my water cooled gaming rig. I'm using a Kraken X73 360mm Liquid Cooler and the Lian Li case has a total of 9 Corsair LL 120 RGB fans. :geek:

Animalll, got a bigger heat sink coming in from Amazon. They have not shipped it yet.

Got faster RAM also coming in the mail, but it seems to be lost in transit.

I use a thermaltake 360mm water cooler it's doing a good job on the overclocked 5950x. If you have space on your computer it's a good choice too.

@old-reverend , just installed some faster RAM. Fury DDR3 1866hz. I see an improvement on motion while turning. Not so choppy.

Amazon has not shipped or charged my back account on the heatsink I ordered. When that come in I shold see a better improvement in FPS and game play. The heat sink is for an AMD 4.0hz 8 core CPU I have waiting to install.

Accidently uninstalled my Logitech G15 software for my keyboard while deleting a bunch of unused apps on my desktop. The one I downloaded from logitech does not include a desktop icon. If I run the ICore program it has a check box for startup, but does not save it for some reason. I think this might be a bad driver that is meant for more recent keyboards. Each time I restart my computer the keyboard display only show the large orange "G15" display.

Deleting program shortcuts from the desktop doesn't uninstall them. I have a logitech keyboard. The old software (which I use) is Logitech Gaming Software. The new one is Logitech G Hub. They aren't drivers, just software. lcore.exe is the executable file for logitech gaming software. If it looks different than what you used before, you can uninstall it (from the control panel) and install logitech g hub.

Dan, I uninstalled the app from settings. So it's gone.

I just downloaded the Logitech G Hub and it looks very foreign to me. Didnt see my G15 keyboard. The Logitech Gaming Sofware is the one I downladed and the G15 keyboard did display my CPU and RAM usage in the window like before. But does not get activated on restart.

TeamSpeak used to have a plugin for the Logitech G15 keyboard, but not anymore. Like it must be old school like the dial telephones.
