Yeah, I think the cheapest and easiest option would be to just get two more sticks of those sticks
Hi Dan, I just received the 2-sticks of RAM. Seems to be doing good. I imagine I really needed it as with so much stuff running in WIN10 plus other programs on my pc, I think that was the best upgrade I could do for around $40. Thanks again!

I've had two issues occuring since the first of the year that is effecting BF4.

#1. I see CPU usage climb to 99% with FPS dropping in the red to usually 15 FPS. Last about 19 seconds about once a game.Could occur anytime whinle in game so I dont think it's punkbuster.

#2. Game crashing to desktop. No error message. Usually I see the action stop for 5 seconds then it goes to the Origen whidow. If you hit ALT F4 that is sudden, but this looks different. Sometimes I see "Lost Connection".

Hey Gunny, sorry I'm late to the conversation but just joined the forums yesterday lol. I scanned through previous posts and didn't catch anything about your network. Are you running wired Ethernet or WiFi?

I had similar issues a couple of years ago and got some improvement by switching from stock internal WiFi to a high power external antenna adapter, then night and day improvement by running a dedicated CAT6 cable between my router and rig so I could go wired.

I'm using the standard wired ethernet cable. Getting about 100mbps. I've set up another 2nd monitor with the task manage running and I just dont see what the issue is when I get the CPU full hit. I see it about once a game. No ryme or reason. Need to write down the time and see if there is a pattern.

Ah I see... Task manager can help you figure it out. Could be Windows Defender or some other system tool trying to do its thing at random times.
