i5 to i7 makes a big difference

Well here's the story...Delidded my 8700k and relidded with liquid metal also installed a copper heatsink. It has a 120mm AIO on it
Result's zero change in cpu temp's (I would not recommend doing this, although straight forward it is nerve racking as hell especially when your old eye can't see very well)
I ran cinebench 2.0 before and after and I can't really even say I got a degree better LoL 80C before metal 79C after (that's OC'd to 4.60 MHz)
Did I do it wrong possibly?... too much TIM not enough TIM who know's… I might take it apart and redoit but I might not
On a side note I got my 1080ti sc2 hybrid today and it run's cool af...no performance gain over my 1080ti reference out of the box but we'll see what we can do with the lower temp's

WOW no difference. Thats crazy. Maybe just leave it as is and not fuck around with it anymore. Lower temps on the ti should be nice in the summer maybe not so much in the winter.

But you need to use the liquid cooling for the HIS and bare CPU, and some MX-4 thermal paste for the heatsink, isn't it??

BTW, am getting a 27" Lenovo 144hz 4ms monitor hahahaha $230, alotta good deals lately

I used liquid metal on the die, liquid metal on the integrated heatsink and Noctua nh-n1 on the AIO cooler (because the liquid metal eat's the copper you can use it but will have to replace the AIO sooner)

1080P?

Thats a good deal.

Is it Free Sync/G-Sync compatable. Youll only need it to be G-Sync for the 1080ti.
