YOU! I wanna know what your dream car is!

Nice! I rode motorcycles for over 30 years, but quit about five years ago. The roads where I live suck for riding anyway, and the thousands and thousands of distracted drivers led me to stop riding. My last bike was a Yamaha Super Tenere, and I just loved it

Currently into Porsches and modified Mini Coopers:

What were you riding before the Yamaha?

Whitefish, I'm not ready for electric cars yet! I'm not planning on owning one until they stop selling gasoline.

Onesickpuppy, I've had a bunch of different bikes. Before the Super Tenere I had a Honda XR650L, before that was a Ducati Monster 696, a HD Sportster 1200, a Shadow 600, a Honda CB350, Honda CM450 and a bunch of dirt bikes.

He had some interesting info on the longevity and reliability of the mini's.

Im hoping to have solar on my roof (on my future house) and an electric car within 10 years. Solar cell tech is getting really good as of late. In 8-10 years the efficency is going to be crazy.

My mini has been amazingly reliable over the 10 years that I've owned it. There are some models/engine combos that have been problematic, but I have a 2011 with the coveted N18 engine and it has been virtually bulletproof. I love that car and don't ever plan on selling it. As for solar, I have a sailboat that uses solar panels to keep the batteries charged and the refrigerator running. If we have more than 3 days or so without sun I will have to go down and plug it into the shorepower to top up the batteries, but for the most part it makes its own electricity, which is really cool.
