I have tried alt.
I was trying to think of what different would of changed anything. Windows updated, going to switch to previous version to see if that helps. Update later to follow this evening.

everything on my end works fine. discord, steam and Skype all worked with mic. checked setting on origin as well.

Did you check your computer settings. Animal had a great post about setting this up. it helped me and a couple of other guys.
