Actually, I've been working on a radical design and development of an innovative filtration system for a vehicular gas turbine engine in our tank that contains a high efficiency self-cleaning element and is
integrated with the propulsion system for a tenfold increase in filter service interval, a 1/3 reduction in overall pressure loss and a 40 percent reduction in package size. The system consists of self-cleaning, rotating drum barrier filter surrounded by curved
vortex tube precleaner panels and mounted directly to the engine inlet. A water tight external housing is provided to give the system the necessary deep water fording capability. The conceptual design is described as well as the detailed design of both precleaner element and the self-cleaning barrier filter. The full size prototype fabrication and testing is described to demonstrate operational integrity and cleanability. I will be offering up my prototype to STRYKER in the near future.

I would be happy to try out the prototype Mr. Pink. Lord knows you are one of very few that empty the shit bucket. And the guys I get in here fart like old dogs so it makes for quite a mess. So when you get the prototype ready let me know and I will get a brand new tank for the fitting. If I can be of any use before hand just give me a shout.....................STRYKER.

Can it filter out the screams of a fobbit getting crated by the commander during their first combat jack?

While this won't eliminate the need for the shit bucket...it should at least relieve some distress from the accompanying fumes . During full scale dust testing (used to mimic the aforementioned farting in tank) it was determined that one of the filter element seals was leaking and needed modification. Evidence was also found, after this test, that
the ferrofluidic seal outer ring had lost its fluid to dust that had been carried by turbulence into close proximity to the seal fluid (must make sure not to sit too close...ie., fart turbulence) and the fluid wicked into the dust. The three inner rings were still intact so that the total integrity of the seal was preserved.

Modification concepts are being carried out to improve the sealing of the individual filter elements and to shield the ferrofluidic seal from dust turbulence (or farting). I am currently stocking up on bean burritos to allow a sustained testing period of continuous fart production.

That might require a much different design as noise filtration is diametrically opposed to air filtration...but nonetheless quite important...and often highly misunderstood. I will take it under advisement for future prototype development.
