Whitefish21 - abuse of admin

Don’t expect us to go all vq37. But sometimes we get feed up with all the players boiling from salty to toxic, whatever that means. So the mute is used to quiet it down. Mute is relatively harmless. Players can still play if they abide to instruction.

"Don’t expect us to go all vq37" GOOD!

That said, for the last time, get a fucking BTC wallet or some other way to accept donations that's 1) anonymous; and 2) not in support of an organization that's hostile to the Second Amendment.

You can donate anonymous, just don't log into the forums and click on donate, If you have Venmo, Ill send you my info and you can donate that way as well

1. When did I say anything about the First Amendment? The concept of freedom of speech goes beyond protection from government actors, even if not legally enforceable via Section 1983 claims. Don't pigeonhole.

The general notion of free speech is well recognized on this server. Indeed, the guidance from admin whenever someone complains about the content of speech is to "press H" or even in words of Whitefish21 himself, "Some peoples skin needs to thicken up. Just my opinion." This advice was in response to a thread complaining about the repeated use of "fag" and various creative though tasteless variations thereof.

The same approach is typically taken to folks upset over haxusations, insults about family members, etc. The mute tool has generally been reserved for repeated and excessive vulgarity, etc. disruptive to the community.

2. I didn't spam chat. Review the logs.

3. The approach, in my opinion, was heavy handed and an arbitrary and capricious exercise of admin authority given the lack of server rules or guidance relative to the matter at hand. I bring the issue here to you all as a community, despite knowing full well that you'll dog pile me because you always back each other, because my goal is to better your community and avoid it becoming a censored shithole like vq37.

Happy killing.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. Before you start quoting "law" you found on google figure out what the fuck you are talking about.

Your statement, "The general notion of free speech is well recognized on this server" sounds like you did a shit copy and paste job from some legal opinion. This is not a public forum nor has it ever been recognized as one. From the beginning speech has been regulated which is stated in the server rules.

We have the right to regulate speech in any manner we see fit. Its as simple as that.

As far as 1983 claims and the second amendment, neither have any application here.

Go back to Google University.

LMAO, if only we had a lawyer on staff.. Oh wait.

LOL

I get heated over stupidity.

NYS just overhauled its bail rules and mandatory discovery from prosecutors starting Jan 1. They basically just threw a big fucking wrench in an already broken machine. :frusty:

FYI, i'm also counsel, and barred in many, many JDX. I do civil, mainly qui tam law, and work had me traveling a bunch over the last couple months so I never responded.

While we don't see eye to eye, the NYS law is bullshit. They want big law expediency without paying big law wages or fees. If defense counsel wants their brady materials, they should be patient. I hope you're not a public defender, that shit would suck under the new laws as I understand them.
