That's being said...
I don't know about you guys, but when I get onto bf4 the last thing I wanna see is politics.
I get onto bf4 to escape from reality and to have fun with friends. Please do not ruin it for everyone else.
Hot damn Whitey I thought I was over sensitive with the political BS but job well done. It is hard to monitor the political shit some times as one person starts it and pretty soon you have several people trying to put their two cents in. I try to nip it in the bud when it first starts with a warning and generally that works but not always. I am glad that there is this post to show the seniors are behind us on this. So in the future lets all try to keep this shit at a minimum and enjoy the game politics free.......STRYKER.
I would like to keep most of my life politics free at this time. Its a big, sad, clown show. Thought MAGA is KAGA now anyway. Good luck fairly policing it. Don't wear a Red hat on the server cowboy. Sounds like another rule to add, because I am tempted as hell to say KAGA now. Fuking hell I am glad the server will still allow insults and swearing.

I think we both agree on this issue 100%. That was just part of the chat window spam. As you know it snowballs downhill.
1. When did I say anything about the First Amendment? The concept of freedom of speech goes beyond protection from government actors, even if not legally enforceable via Section 1983 claims. Don't pigeonhole.
The general notion of free speech is well recognized on this server. Indeed, the guidance from admin whenever someone complains about the content of speech is to "press H" or even in words of Whitefish21 himself, "Some peoples skin needs to thicken up. Just my opinion." This advice was in response to a thread complaining about the repeated use of "fag" and various creative though tasteless variations thereof.
The same approach is typically taken to folks upset over haxusations, insults about family members, etc. The mute tool has generally been reserved for repeated and excessive vulgarity, etc. disruptive to the community.
2. I didn't spam chat. Review the logs.
3. The approach, in my opinion, was heavy handed and an arbitrary and capricious exercise of admin authority given the lack of server rules or guidance relative to the matter at hand. I bring the issue here to you all as a community, despite knowing full well that you'll dog pile me because you always back each other, because my goal is to better your community and avoid it becoming a censored shithole like vq37.
