I'm an avid cook and love to experiment with Italian cuisine. Making a lasagna from scratch, I've made many, and not one has ever been the same. So no McDonald's, everything is a one off. I also love all types of seafood and favorite is a local specialty....BBQ Crabs, no not cooked on a grill either. They are cleaned gulf blue crabs that are seasoned with a powder and then deep fried and not with a flour dredge. They are the best you could ever have, especially if the crabs are #1's.
So what's everyone's favorite food of choice to cook or eat?

Sincerely,

Avid let's go out for dinner and get a burger or wings here. But when I cook, I really enjoy cooking filet Mingnon - med rare. Grill or iron skillet is good, although I get more consistent doneness on the skillet.

I like smoked Items.......... Pork Shoulders, ribs of any kind and coleslaw......

i love to cook, i grew up in an Mennonite religion (Amish decent) household so everything was fresh and made from scratch. We never ate out and one thing we were taught was to cook. most of the things i cook (or my wife) are Amish based recipes.

My favorite is probably city chicken, this was a holiday only meal. Usually followed with mashed potatoes, cornbread, baked beans and coleslaw. Super easy to make but some of the best food iv ever had!

I love smoked meats, I have the Big Green Egg and Cuban style Pork shoulder is my go to. Ribs and Brisket are also amazing from the BGE.

I also love Indian food and recently got into making curries.

Not big on waiting around all day for smoked meats, I like to eat some but not alot. I worked in the restaurant industry for almost 20 years, I guess I like to make it like a restaurant...good prep work and a time line, that's my kind of cooking. A great steak either on grill or flat top. I have a 6 burner stove, it's an restaurant style , stainless steel but wont fit through the door, so I have it on back porch. It gets used when I cook lots of food. Also have a 4 foot propane flat top grill sitting on back porch as well and a 4 foot propane gas grill. It's my dream to have a food truck serving great lunches to the local refineries, I just dont have the financials ability right now. I'm trying to put 2 kids through college, that's my main priority.
But I love to put on a roast in a slow cooker and smell it all day, mashing some taters, green bean casserole, good rolls and Texas sweet tea. Watermelon in the summertime spiked with a bottle of vodka....just a thought for a beach trip.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits are easy to make at home and the recipe is everywhere online.

I just bought a rice washer for kicks, and I really like my rice less enriched.

I'm a pbj addict. Every night I have 2 pb&j sandwiches with a cold almost frosty glass of milk. I buy the 2 pack at Walmart, they are 40 oz. each. I go though 1 can a week and a loaf of bread and have a variety of jams and jellies to pick from. If I dont eat them, I wake up around 2 am and my stomach is growling of hunger. I've done this for over 25 years and should have partial ownership in Jiff.

I have authentic Mexican food next door, they send food over all the time with fresh homemade tortillas. Them people can cook and I eat everything they send over. I return the favor mostly with some sort of seafood, I'd never cook Mexican and insult the cuisine.

Ever try a PB and honey sandwich? That and a glass of whole milk is the perfect midnight snack!

Of course, but I'm an old time who loves a good strawberry jam, blueberry preserves, and classic grape jelly. I've tryd them all.
Yes, we have crawfish farms all around my neck of the woods too. The local favorite place is Douget rice farm, which is huge and supplies lots of rice and crawfish. I have my own crawfish pot with hi output burner. Cooked many snacks and well versed in the art.

I love PBJ and some milk too!

I'm not a great cook, but I like simple recipes. Between wives I would cook ribeyes and asparagus on cast iron for dates, and they really liked that. I managed some Crock-Pot recipes, I can bake or deep fry turkeys, and do simple pasta or stew dishes.

Oh yeah with the slow cooker I made pulled pork for a unit event. Just pork shoulder with a can of root beer on low for 8 hrs, then shred it and add BBQ sauce of choice and let simmer 30 mins.
