Please PERMANENTLY BAN TungUranus - i THINK HE WAS THE ONE TRYING TO GET ME BANNED WHEN i WAS IN THE AA

When I signed on the oppoistion had all of the bases.. I tried taking B twice then the AA opened up. I took out just about everything flying and the player TungUrananus started up.

i WAS ON THE HILL SIDE ACROSS FROM C had shot about everything down then get the post saying to vote on banning me. Then the ass TungAnus came up and kept ramming me up ion the flat area sw of B and east of C Theb an had expired Then all of the sudden I go dark and then got the message I was banned this is bs

Look back through the logs/messages.... Ban this player permanently... I did nothing wrong

While I don't condone the ramming and team griefing, there's clearly a history here, for you Jones. It takes more than one person to voteban, so either your team agreed with the process, or (unlikely) they didn't read the reason and just voted '!yes'.

I will say though, trying to clean up the air from an enemy team who's armor's well-entrenched on your half of the map, is awful to try and do, so you have to really set up and try to perform as best as possible against choppers, and jets.

First of all banning someone for retaliation is not going to happen. The ban is only a short few minutes.

I have seen this feature abused and for sure people do just type !yes without even knowing what's going on but I would say the majority of the time, there is a legitimate reason the vote is started.

Some people seem to think camping in the AA is not letting them have it. I've had votes started on me for "camping in the AA" and anyone that knows me knows that's not going to happen.

Indeed there is always someone abusing that is true. When a player is grieving or retaliating against a player. I will say "STOP abusing the voteban or will be banned", in the attempt to stop and does help for a while.

With regards to the AA..... if you’re advancing with the tanks playing an ACTIVE role WITH THEM AND CLOSE TO THEM....... wait - let me repeat that PLAYING AN ACTIVE ROLE WITH THEM AND CLOSE TO THEM PROVIDING AIR COVER SO THEY CAN ADVANCE then you are doing your job in the AA. If you’re hanging back thinking you’re helping anyone then you’re just dead weight and deserve to be removed from the AA. The AA is not your personal KD padding tool.

Eh I don't think the AA needs to actively be within the same AO as the tanks, close by perhaps, but its a death sentence to be within spitting distance of a team tank as enemies will more likely target you first. Basically if you split the map down the center of AB and don't go too far from that line on either side or past the tower near F, you're in a good place for AA.

Agreed, I have been in the AA with friendly tanks all around me and still get killed by a tank chasing me all across the map. They don't pay attention, I've found that staying away from tanks, I live longer.

Guess I have been using the AA wrong on the few times I use it. My line of thinking puts the AA as a suppression tool rather than a big killing tool and that requires it to be deep on the map. Sure you can set back and pick up kills but you are not helping your team worth a shit. In my mind I use the AA to throw off air craft as best I can, that means harassing them before they can get deep enough to do any real damage. If you get a few well placed shots on a heli or jet they will usually back off and regroup. This is not full proof as you do have jets or helis that will take you on and they some times win. In that case you can't cry just go get the new one that is supplied. But by no means should you ever give up the AA as some retards do after taking damage. If you don't want to go down with the AA stay the fuck out of it........STRYKER.

My approach to the AA is a little different, but it's all very situational. While I will play ABC, I don't play on the enemy team's half of the map. Generally, unless the enemy air is being super cowardly, you shouldn't have to be on their half of the map for anything. Even if you don't get the kill, a fleeing chopper, or jet, isn't an immediate threat to you, or your team (unless they're being weenies and hiding way in the back). Sure, they'll retreat and repair, but all you have to do is hit them again. Sometimes all it takes to get them turning tail is a single Active Radar missile. That is, unless you're up against a super aggressive pilot (like myself), who will come get you, through the damage. In that case, you can't flinch. It's like a game of chicken, and someone will come out of it alive (this is also why timing your APS is so important).

If the ticket difference is too big (like 600+ tickets), sometimes I'll start giving concessions. Take a little longer to shoot at choppers, or even sometimes give them a free pass to try and clean up their mess of a team. It's all very situational, and never guaranteed.

I agree Panda, just trying to get a point across so that it just might get the noobs closer to the action.

I can rack up a lot of kills in the AA but I do try to stay close to AB and never south of C. While there I will also take out infantry as they cross the fields or hide in the rubble. I find that if I can just keep the other aircraft on their side of the map it gives our tanks a fighting chance to advance into ABC area. I would rather keep them on their side of the map vs them bailing out over ABC. There is a road on both sides of the map that has a rock or wall that can be used for cover, I find that is the best place to stay. The most important thing to remember when giving the person in the AA hell is "Do you have A if you're RU or B if you're US?" If not, it's very difficult for the AA to advance up as the infantry will just start targeting them. Best case is if you're US, hold B and C at all cost, or A and C if you're RU.

Just my 2 cents!

If you would like to know how to beat someone that is decent in the AA, ask B1unt-Specialist... He kicks my ass just about every time!

SHUT UP MAN!!!! DON'T GIVE AWAY THE SECRETS!!!! :highly_amused:

There's a couple of really good pilots that'll push you, if you don't catch them first. B1unt being one of them. There's also Xurec and Stogie.

That is true! I have had a hard time with Xurec for sure and pretty sure Stogie too.

Looks like we'll have to restrict voteban initiation to just clan members again. Our servers have become a preschool now with all the crying and abuse.

Seems like a good idea, I was just vote banned for something. Not even sure what the reason was to be honest.
