@Animalllllll my favorite locations in Europe are Portugal ( accommodations can be expensive but other items like a 2 Euro quality wine and supercheap uber cant be beat ) and Spain ( usually just fly into either BCN or MAD and train around the country. Valencia is probably my favorite as it is smallish, beaches around are uncrowded and can easily train to Barcelona or Madrid for day trips ) Have had some great times in both countries.

Edit: I was also caught up in last years floods in Valencia. Google it to see how awesome the residents are in helping out.

Thanks Dan. We plan to do 2 or 3 vacations a year. This is our second one so far. First trip was to Puerto Vallarta for a week.

We just spent the night at sea and now docked at Puerto de Palma.

Going ashore in about a hour for a tour around town.
