It seems this effect is occurring more and more. Does someone have a sure fire way to resolve it? I've had it suggested that it is Win10 update issues, so I rolled it back to prior having the issues. Nada... I've tested my equipment, no issues. Some days the issue isn't there at all, and then like today, oh my god. It was the worst it's ever been. Anyone?

I haven't noticed that much myself. There is more lag, but that's because everyone is using the internet more. It usually doesn't bother me much.

Yeah, it was so bad an hour ago, the effect was occurring about every 10 seconds. Made it unplayable without throwing a brick through my monitor. Argghhh

What I mean is that it hasn't been bad enough for me to be noticeable. Only when I'm shooting a TV or something does it mess me up. And it's rarely rubberbanding for me. I'm just explaining my experience.

I had the same problem, and in the end I suspected an internet issue, but I completely wiped my drives and reinstalled windows to see if it helped (also didn't want to deal with my provider unless absolutely necessary). It did help....I don't get that awful rubber-banding anymore that was making it impossible to play. That being said, I have no idea exactly how it solved the issue (or if doing that was actually what helped).
Before I did that I tried uninstalling and re-installing BF4 and origin, tried undoing some driver/windows updates to previous versions, tried disabling GeForce experience...it didn't help me, but nothing to lose by trying it.
But yes, it happened in the same way, I was getting the rubber banding every now and then and suddenly it was happening ALL THE TIME. Good luck!

It is congestion along the nodes near Chicago where the server is located. It comes and goes and can vary based on your ISP. For me the lag was coming when it was routed through be-2103-pe03.350ecermak.il.ibone.comcast.net [96.110.37.18], but a traceroute right now shows it as normal ping.

I haven't had any issues either. Has there been any thought about lowering the maximum allowed ping to 150? Maybe a test run to see if it solves the problem. The Golmud server is inundated with 150+ pings that I believe are slowing the server.

I second Chango on trying lower max ping when the server is full/near full. Icerat was also thinking this may be worth while trying

We do, already have some level of multi-stage ping kicking. It's basically turned off when one of the servers are in "Populating Mode". I wouldn't be totally opposed to re-tuning it, but we gotta be careful in doing so.

I rarely suffer from this unless the server is about to crash..but i did have a ping of 999 the other day for about 5 minutes instead of my usual 26-28 and it didn't kick me LoL

This doesn't often affect me and I know some of you are looking for answers, but I'm not sure lowering the ping cap will help the majority.

Here’s what I can confirm.

-lag issues are not experienced by all, if we had a server issue, you would all be having lag (For most part I don’t)

-can confirm server is running in good operations (no system resources issues etc)

-if it’s not server than is a client connection issue

-we have a progressive ping kick. Too low a kick and the server will be empty.

So somewhere in your connection you have a problem.

Last night I was on a BZ hardcore server and it was running pretty much smooth as butter. I switched to rc2 and I immediately started to get lag...kept freezing, running in place, almost crashed my heli a few times, etc.....Shiryu was experiencing some lag and shit too on rc1 recently...he suggested that server needs a restart (he made a '!report server restart' in chat LOL)
I dont have a clue about network connections and all the issues and blah blah but I would really like to figure out whats going on. Half the time I dont feel comfortable piloting because I end up crashing a lot of the time when I hit some lag and my screen freezes, or end up dying when my soldier is running in place like an idiot.

Our servers are all on the same machine. So if there is a connection or machine issue it will be shared equally. The machine is in Chicago. I’m sure Bz is somewhere else.

There is Very little I can see to change on the server side. Again nothing for me to change or adjust in current running state.

All I can suggest is changing all servers to 45hz. I’m guessing your Client connections can’t handle 60hz or even 45hz.

Or back all down to 30hz. You guys goto realize it’s never going to be perfect unless we are all on a private network with the provider server.
