does anyone game using starlink as their primary internet?

After about 10 months I was finally notified that my order was confirmed for my northern MI compound, so I can get decent internet finally! I'm sooo excited because that was the last main thing I needed for comfort there.

The internet that was available there had a low ping to the server, just really low speed, so I could play barely but would get disconnected.

anyways here is a pic of my cabin, pretty good bug out spot in northern MI (by Torch Lake, google that, it is beautiful!) if shit gets rough :D

The speed might be better, but I doubt the latency will be lower. Definitely let us know how it is to connect to the servers!
Nice cabin btw

Great looking cabin. I'm a fan of log style homes.

Let us know how starlink is. I heard the latency is better than most satellite providers but still has a tendency to drop out. Im sure they will get less and less as more satellites are added to the array.

I have the satellite installed in a temporary location, and the download speed increased from 8 Mbps to 100-150 Mbps!

Logging onto BF4 showed my ping from 40-60 which isn't terrible.

This weekend I just have to mount it on my roof to avoid connection interruptions because it's not quite clear of the trees.

I will post pics but a screenshot even is too large of a file apparently. Edit: apparently I can figure it out below

The starlink app shows a 3d render of where it detects obstructions, kind of interesting

Streaming video, the supposed interruption doesn't seem to matter, just when connected to a game.

Is there a way to upgrade what size pics can be uploaded?

Pics from my pixel 6 are apparently too dense

I finally got it on an unobstructed spot, it's still not permanently mounted because it's raining and my ladder sucks.

But I made it thru a few full rounds without out disconnecting, and the ping was "only" 35-60 when I checked.

It was good enough to jihad jeep chango's AA enough to be accused of trolling ?

No but you should be able to change its size when you export it. For this medium anything over 1mb is probably too much and unnecessary

the ping is only at most as good as my connection in colorado , which was fine i suppose.
