CONTEXT: i was running around on alpha. im an infantry player. so i dont typically use tanks or helis unless my team is REALLY awful. and im hearing cracks of dmr spam bullets wipping past me... none hitting me. i was stuck behind cover and i shot at somebody hitting most of my bullets, he had a smaw. he shot it. point blank. he 1 hits me. i got a bit heated and started my point.
i have alot of time and typically better than most players in aarp. (according to my stats) so when i say something is better than something or something is over powered or game breaking. I have more than an idea of what im talking about. i was telling how people using smaws, dmrs and semi-auto shotguns are some of the lower skill people playing BF4 still (speaking with some experience because i play on multiple servers.) and somebody in my squad was getting offended. and instead of using facts to support his claim that weapons had their certain place he decided to start calling me names and insulting me telling me i had a bad day and that "bf4 might not be for you" ive been taking a break from battlefield because as most of the people in ts know. ive been harassed for months by this clan that is called cFa.
my stats btw:

Unless Rinzler is mentioning a different incident, I think I was in the squad at the time the DMR + SMAW "spam and annoyance" thing happened.
I'm generally disinclined to dog-pile on somebody so I kept quiet when TheABCCamper genially rebutted Rinzler's points about certain weapons--Camper has his own technical reasons (guy spends hours and hours on the test range working through lotsa weapons types, this aside from plenty of in-game play) but the thrust of the argument was: the various weapons in BF4 are all tools available to everybody, and most of them have counters, also widely available, so why carp on the usage of individual weapons, particularly in an effort to denigrate other players?
It went unsaid, but the natural extension of the discussion was--if your play is superior and you're expert at other weapons than those favored by so-called noobs, by all means, demonstrate that--just stfu and leave it at that. He absolutely did say "maybe BF4 is not for you"--which is about as gentle a tack to take as any. He was nowhere near abusive at that time and I don't recall him using pejoratives or name calling.
Truly toxic name-calling is immediately recognizable--bullying, racism, homophobia--but by and large the bulk of low-grade toxicity in the server comes from average players (most of them unfamiliar with the people they are calling out) constantly questioning kills by other people, especially top-tier (for the server) regulars.
And then you have Rinzler, a very good player--who nevertheless manages to thread a kind of negativity through his posts (read 'em--it's all in there), his chat and his VoIP audio. We know it when we hear it and see it.
And I think that's why (you may feel like) people aren't taking you seriously here, Rinzler, because there's a sour grapes thing going on that players of your caliber usually don't evidence.
It's probably because the median age in the server is upwards of 40 a lot of the time. No joke. Dudes are just generally more chill as they age ...
