Tonight in Golmud on RC2, I got admin killed by ElChangoFeo for not having the AA at ABC. I spawned into the AA(RU), saw their AH fighting our AH above E, and E was being captured by the enemy. I drove over to E, killed a jet, then killed that AH, then got attacked by the enemy LAV who just took E. I had to fight him off, killed him, then backed up a bit. I got out to repair and got admin killed. All this happened in no more than a minute, so I certainly wasn't camping anything. I didn't even think that ABC rule applied to RC2 for one thing, and even if it does, we're not allowed to engage anything on the way to ABC? Why would I not go after that AH at E? I didn't even bother getting back into the AA after that. I just want some clarification if what I described broke the rules so I know for next time. Thanks.

Welcome to the world of supervision son. Golmud is the only map where one thing as important as the AA so that is why there is a rule covering where it should be located. Who knows how much damage was done at ABC while you were fucking around at E where you don't belong. So now you know the rules follow them and you shouldn't have any admin problems. And for shits sake you kids on RC2 learn to play together in the sand box.......................STRYKER.

It is not a rule on RC2 as far as I know. And having rules because some people think they know the best way to play something (AA on golmud) is pretty stupid.

The AA is arguably the most important vehicle on any map that has it, as it is the only thing that can prohibit good jet pilots from destroying your teams airforce for free. Unless your team has equally good, or better jet pilots. There are few maps where using a handheld AA rocket actually does anything to jets, as they can fly terribly high.

I think the rules are different than RC 1. RC 2 states the AA cannot camp on the end of the map and must engage. RC1 states must engage ABC. RC1 is 24/7 Golmud so its imperative the AA covers those flags. RC 2 only had that map in rotation once. F doesn't really matter

But, I destroyed their AH that was at E, and a jet right before that. I was literally in the AA for about a minute before I was admin killed. For the AA to have to completely ignore what's going on and head strait to ABC, and not engage anything on the way, is an over the top interpretation of that rule.

When I killed you, you were South of the train tracks at E. It wasn't arbitrary, I watched you first and then killed you. Get over it!
Yeah, I explained that I backed up to repair. I wasn't engaging from that location and you know that. I've never seen anyone claim the ABC rule on RC2, so I wanted to see if it's actually a rule, because the posted rules on the forums, "On RC1 (24/7 Golmud Railway), the rules specify the AA should be in the A/B/C area," and the spammed rules that Red posted, seem to indicate that it isn't. But, for the record, your overzealous enforcement of it was completely BS.

I assume the HC Server plays more than Golmud where there is an AA in use. On the real big maps it doesn't really matter where the AA is located as the air craft are spread out much more. On Golmud it is a rather small map and ABC for people that know any thing know they need constant AA help. So if people don't want to protect ABC with the AA the solution is simple " Take Golmud out of the line up ". Problem solved, and if you need more advice of great wizdom don't hesitate to contact me ...........................STRYKER.

Samantha is grazing peacefully in the front yard, so all you perves put away the hip boots until I get her sheared..........:p:p

I admin the server differently than I do RC1. Its the only map, So yes the AA should cover ABC. However when I admin RC 2 i let them play where ever they want as long as they are in bounds and not camped in base.
Same. RC1 and RC2 on Golmud play very differently. If you want to take D at the start of the game on RC2 you basically need 2-3 players as most don’t care about. It also switches sides a log more than it does on RC1.

With regard to the AA on RC2 I will spend more time watching it. If it’s dealing with air and not extremely south, like below F, I’ll let it do it’s thing. Also, keep in mind, RC2 doesn’t have insta spawn which changes how things play out.

IF that was the case as was laid out, then the kill seems a bit premature. That ABC rule is important but there are cases where you need to fight elsewhere temporarily. Hopefully Chango is being judicious because if I ever get kicked for something like that, I will be angry.

For the record, Chango did nothing wrong and I dont want my post implying he did. I was just giving my opinion on how I handle those situations.

Now if @Freemason-Kroll was in there and he even got a whiff that the AA was thinking about heading South - Well off with his head immediately. :ROFLMAO:
