My sailboat got a little love this past week

I keep anchoring implements in there like my anchor snubber, extra rope rode, dinghy anchor and rode, a smaller backup anchor, windlass handle, etc.

Rope rode. Hmmmm .... had to look that up.

Rode simply refers to the line and/or chain that connects the anchor to your boat. (Believe it or not, rode is not a typo!) Ideally, the rode for any anchor setup should consist of both chain and rope. The chain should be on the end with the anchor.

I run all chain rode on my primary anchor, but my secondary anchor rode is rope and chain.

I will try that out when I go down to see lowcountry, Redkilla. Tho, I dont understand why he has ropes on the anchor chain. The Connie didnt have them on her anchor chains. RIP USS Constellation CV-64.

That's a good looking rig. We just fueled up between the bridges last week. Next time I'm by there I'll wake the living shit out of the marina just for you!

She is 35 years old this year and was in need of having her decks refreshed. Had them sanded/caulked/sealed and this is the end result:

Not bad, now just infinity other stuff to fix...

Thanks, AGOWi. She is a great boat and a comfortable, capable cruiser. The maintenance is indeed never-ending.
