Merry Christmas to me..........

You only run 1 SSD?

I cant believe how much room that case has in it.

I guess I should stop installing Old HDs as my storage and backup and get rid of the CD-Rom drive that keeps getting transplanted from comp to comp since 2006

NAHHHHHHHHHHHHH There is another 500 gig SSD on the backplane. Power cords weren't long enough. Good thing about SSD is that they go anywhere.

Yeah My next build will be two SSD's, a 256 to boot from and a 1TB for storage.

You guys are killing me. I’m getting a terrible fever to build a new rig...

Haha. Me too but mine is more of a runny nose so today I updated the cpu from a 2 core pentium (G3258) to a quad core (i5 4690K). Should help relieve the lag issues I’m experiencing. 8bAd8 gave me his GTX 670 which improved the frame rates greatly. So I’m excited to see how well it pairs with the CPU.

Happy New Year everyone!

That 8B is a pretty nice guy!

I still have a 2600K build that i am still hanging on to. I got it to overclock to 4.3 on water and it one of my favorite Intel builds ever.

I actually had a dream I built a new rig two nights ago. Damn it Wiz!

I'm still happy with my old Nvidia 1080 / i7-4790k I play BF4 do Office work, and occasional video editing, I also have a Macbook Pro from 2013 that I still love to death.. If I refresh it will be for a Nvidia 2080 but not sure what I can gain in BF4 by getting a new card , my FPS are in the 90 range right now , G-Sync was the biggest game changer for me, it smooths everything out and does improve my game with more consistent frames.

You might want to wait a bit and see where the 20-series goes before buying. There's been a lot of problems with the RTX series, including bad performance (with RTX on), and some catching fire (I believe it was Founder's Edition cards, but still... Come on Nvidia!).

That's a solid build. Especially for BF4.

Thank you, I had not heard about the problems, no need for more power as long as my main game is BF4, I bought BF5 and it's mehhhhh, alright but doesn't grab me the way BF4 does, it's getting around 70 FPS maxed out with the current setup, as long as I'm in the 60's or above with my favorite game I'm going to save my money as long as I can and wait.

Damn, nice rig 8B!
I’m happy with the GPU and CPU upgrades this past month. Made a giant leap in my games eye candy. Like playing BF4 again for the first time
