Hellp with selecting a HDD

Those flash drivers are getting big in size too. Fit your whole OS on to them.

Yeah Dude. Every month MicroCenter sends me a single use coupon for a free 32gb one. You can get a 64gb one for under $10 now. I think I paid about that for a 64gb one that is used as music storage for my car.

I have honestly been thinking about one of those 64GB just for spare space if I even need it.

Western Digital is a very reputable brand when it comes to HDDs, their SSDs have gotten very good as well.

M.2 drives require an expansion card, or a special plug on newer Motherboards. To make it more complicated, there are two, nearly identical plugs. One that uses SATA (like HDDs), and one that uses PCIe (like your Graphics Card).

Never buy consumer-grade Seagate drives. They're utter garbage.

I have an MSI x570, I'm using one of the M.2, pretty sure its the SATA one. What would you use a PCIe M.2 for?

PCIe M.2 Drives are faster, anywhere between 2 and 5GB/s (max. Averages are lower), since PCIe connects directly to the CPU. SATA has a separate controller, usually under the heatsink
