Golmud is coming to BF6

oh it's a beauty

i like that we have the m16a4 now but the m4 is one of the few guns i have leveled to 50 so i dont think i'll even use it for awhile

seems like they could easily up the player count.

We should coordinate some games together.

I played with bebop this morning and had some fun games.

They fixed a lot that was wrong with the tank movement. I haven't tried but heard they fixed the helis too. Apparently the fly closer to BF4.

The train and south of it feels very much like BF4 Golmud but with better terrain and cover. A,B,C or the new E,F,G feels really new with lots of new buildings and terrain.

I think once that add platoons and hopefully allow multible squads to join a single match things will get interesting.

Or we can tweak the map, spin up a server and see how it goes.

I had a chance to play the AA this morning and IMO its garbage.

The turret tracks way too slow. In third person its not too bad but first person it cannot keep up with Helis or jets no matter how fast you move your hand or how much space you have on your mouse pad. I had to move my mouse up to 5000 DPI and it was still slow. Maybe if I unlock more weapons it will play better in third person. Six rockets as a primary seem inferior to guns.

Thankfully its not as important as it is in BF4 but it still should be fixed.

The more games I play the more I enjoy the gameplay from the train or even the D flag, old C flag, and south.

The train battle is a lot of fun and much more complex than BF4.

The Northern 3 flags are much more built up and I need some time to really find the nuances in them.

The map does look great though. So much detail and elevation changes.
 
Was playing with a console player yesterday. He said there are hacks and scripts out there for Bf6. He claimed he was the best player out there and there were players on other side out to get him. Said he was lit up by the other side and they could ESP his location. I dont know.

Console hacks seem to be more prevalent than PC hacks.

Console hacks are an actual physical device, with software on it, that sits between the console and screen. It can do a bunch of things besides adding info to the screen like overlays. It can take your movement and readjust it to hit targets it seems on the screen. Basically an aimbot that does not live on the console so its not able to be detected.

I have encountered some hacks but not as many as it seems people complain about.

It will be interesting to see what happens when we get spectator mode in the future.

I think that will significantly help if we decide to start running a Portal server.

I am honestly hoping that we can tweak Golmud to play how we want it to and run a 24/7 version that people will want to play.

The turret is slow. I was going to tinker with that, but it sound like you already have. High ground is important. I got the second set of gun and want to try that out soon. It doesnt have the glitch for fire and lock BF4 AA has. It seems a better balance bc the helos have a harder time farming open space. Will be interesting to see how it goes after the helos figure things out and the AA players improve. There was almost zero reason to use the AA on the other maps.

Yeah I guess I could move my highest DPI setting above 5000. I know with BF4 I used 5000 when I was using the TV missile in the AH.

I was on the East spawn and took the AA up around the second or third level by the E flag. (See pic below) I had a good position but not great. Helis were still able to fly below me on the west side. I think this map is designed with even more elevation than BF4.

I think I would have done better if my main guns and turret speed were closer to BF4.

And yeah, the dumb fire and then lock isn't possible unfortunately.

The old AA spot behind the rock wall didn't seem feasible. Too low and too much going on.

AA is totally useless. I have 42" mouse pad that covers the whole table and 32K dpi mouse, but it doesn't matter, the turret won't turn that fast. You can`t kill shit with it. I'm not sure how it's possible but I couldn`t kill infantry walking in front of me lol. Maybe I don't get it yet so will see. It will take time to get use to the map and flags especially the new D going backward.

Thats where I was as well. Keeps the middle kinda clean of helos. Got some kills, but mostly a harassment. There is a place middle south of there that was good as well. Eventually a tank showed up and ruined the party. Why are you playing in Chinese?

Yep. Same experience when trying to kill infantry😫

I looked through the settings and its lacking, even fully unlocked, compared to BF4 weapons selection.

The AA needs changes immediately.

I may play it a bit more and work on proper positioning once I get a better handle on that part of the map.

I Played last night with OldGunney and DrDeath. Had a blast.

Would be great if we can get a couple of squads of guys in a single match. I know we have enough players for 2-3 squads.
 
a nice little touch i just noticed, while firing the L110/saw at the range. i unlocked the 200 round mag and was testing it out and the barrel was red fucking hot after a bit
