Biker Dog, What ship did you serve on while in the Navy. Saw the hat in the photo. I served on four.

I served 2 years on the USS Milwaukee, AOR 2 (Motto: Find'em, Feed'em, Fuel'em)

LMAO :friendly_wink:

Me taking the SP over in advance of liberty in Athens Greece.

I gave Jerry the camera to take a picture of me, but the smartass gave it to my bow tender and I ended up behind him....but it was all in fun.

Plus I did 2 years "Active" reserve while I worked at the VA in Salem Va. That isn't just a hospital, it's like a military base as we had our own police, fire, carpenter shop, sheet metal shop, mason shop, paint shop, land fill, fishing pond, rail spur, sports fields, etc

Nice setup. Dell makes the Alienware too.

While not Gsync, they do have a refresh rate above 60hz and they are IPS screens. Well done my friend!

Also, that base and stand are solid steel and the entire thing comes completely assembled. The box is huge and its a sturdy beast with solid footing. In this photo I just took, yopu can see I've mounted 2 USB hubs to the legs. There are also 2 USB under the front of the monitor. When you put your hand under there a light tirns on,,,,very cool.

This is my next project to get!

Samsung LC49HG90DMNXZA CHG90 Series Curved 49-Inch Gaming Monitor

No. Freesync / Adaptive sync is for AMD/Radeon. You want Gysync for your 1070 Nvidia card.

Right off the spec sheet from your link: Adaptive Sync Technology :FreeSync (AMD Adaptive Sync)

Affordable Gsync close to that price range.
Reference: http://techguided.com/cheapest-g-sync-monitors/

Note....there is a significant increase in cost for Nvidia's technology.

If anyone can help with the monitor choice it’s gonna be the da dog

......I've been doing computer builds as a hobby since 1989. My first build was was a 486DX33 with 4mb of ram and a 9600 baud dial- up modem. I had an color 14" CRT and thought I was rocking. ....I got addicted and the rest is history.

I am using a 27" LG Ultra wide gaming monitor, which fits pretty good where i need it to. Only complaint is at games end, it doesn't stay full screen at the scoreboard, so I can't really tell whose saying most of the comments.
