Getting ready to replace my old monitor. What is your favorite brand and size? Opinion on weather curved is best.

I've not had a really nice monitor since the CRT days. Maybe eventually!

Only have my 55" Curved Samsung these days but I miss playing on a decent monitor.
Before the big screeen I had an ASUS Frameless IPS 27" @ 60Hz.

I think a 26-28" monitor in a traditional gaming pc setup works well.

With that screen being so wide does it distort the view by stretching it sideways or you seeing more field of view?

No....in fact, it makes it easier to:
1) Track choppers with the tank for positive results
2) Ttrack aircraft with AA with even better results
3) Gain a wider perspective of the battlefield when afoot to help obtain targets and when in CQB.


It can't be beat......seriously

Remember, I sit parralell to my desk with the keyboard in my lap and feet up on an ottoman with the screen 24"-30" away.

Please note, this picture is back when we stripped the baseboards out for new carpet.

Yeah, I will never have a non-Gsync monitor again,....as in ever....the difference is so incredibly noticeable.

I had an Acer XB270HA Gsync 144hz TN monitor before I got this Alienware 34" Gsync 144hz/160hz OC IPS monitor...... like I said. I will always have aGsync monitor as long as I have a NVIDIA card.

Note: IPS CLARITY AND COLOR SATURATION FREEKING ROCKS!

A good 2nd choice, which I almost bought, is the LG 34UC89G.

You can adjust your FOV in the game settings (if you didn't already know) and having a wide or ultra-wide screen is a benefit.

While I love my Logitech G613 wireless gaming keyboard, at night, I cant see the keys.....hence the Logitech programmable G910. I like how you can program whatever color you want on every key to suit your play and visual triggers.

Yeah, love the 16oz cans. Been a Blue Moon guy (sans fruit...not a fruit with beer guy) since around 2003 or so. Whats great is our Ralphs here sells 6-pack of 12oz bottles for $9.99 and they sell the 6-pack of 16oz cans for $9.99......thats like getting 2 free beers and I can still tell my wife I only drank a 6'er. eace::rockon:
