Well they have been here for a long time... BUT in that time they know what the rules are i think temp ban and an im sry is in order (if you can get 1) but temp ban 72hrs?

Nahhh, fuck HIM. This ‘dick draggin a body’ has been just as abusive the 4 years that he’s been playing. Time played doesn’t give you any sort of immunity or seniority. He knew the rules and blatantly broke them several times. Let him drag his dick towards another server.

Played with many female players and none have ever behaved like this. His name was just a way to garner attention and leniency IMHO.

heh. had to look that one up.

um, that's pretty harsh.

still, I'll always remember Emily as the northern Virginian I could quote old hymns with.

I used to have the immaterial mentality (not dissimilar to Akula's) that only a dude could be such a dick.

but, you engage, you joke with 'em, you squad up--and, guess what? the salt veneer melts away and they ain't the bogeyman you thought they were.

by and large, aside from cheating and griefing (incl. chat griefing, aka spam) and persistent harassment, perma-bans seem a bit over the top.

unrepentant assfuckery over an extended period (a couple of games, minimum) would be the line I would draw.

hot-headedness seems to be a common trait shared by most that make a peep or have any real in-game clout. almost everybody pops off from time to time in the heat of Battlefield.

I think most of the level-headed folks are too busy living life.

I chalk it up to the same delusional sense of self-prioritized urgency that prompts folks to cut in front of other vehicles when they would never do the same thing in line at the bank.

the physical remove, the disconnect of the Internet--and then there's the matter of tone being totally absent from the text we read.

part of the reason shit escalates at teenage male goat frequencies. but I digress.

(I'm for forgiveness. I buried the lede, I guess, didn't I?)
