What's the rule on when you can engage helicopters? I had a couple folks whining tonight because I was shooting them down over E, past the tower, after leaving spawn. My understanding is that once the helis are past the first tower (Area of base E), then it is fair game. Am I playing unfairly or just annoying people with my style of gameplay?

what i being read here and there, cuz this issue is being talked alot... is that

1. if the move from base, they are targets, unless they still inside the base u cannot charge em
2. the other thing is that for example the AA start shooting from inside the base, they are free targets and the base cannot longer being used to "base rape issue", u need video to hold ur ground in that manner
3. the other stuff is that you doing a dog fight and they got crossfire and they fly away to hide inside their base, in that point there's no expectaction of safe place, u are free to chase them and shoot em down
4. 100 yards away from base is being at base, so u need to hold a little longer before starting the fight
5. u cannot lase inside or towards the bases or parashitting with PLD or SOFLAM to the bases

that's what i understand from the magicians... there's no rules about that, but is fair play and little sense of logic too

Ok, thanks for the response. I was parashitting for sure, but none of my shots engaged a vehicle in base. I waited for them to pass the first tower.

Sometimes the helis are too powerful so you have to move up your defensive line, closer to base.

yeah it all depends from the point of view and the round issued

but as i say... parashittin to the bases is a ban effect or maybe a vacations from the server

I was in the AH along with Murtada that you were lasing immediately upon spawning while parashiting 1000ft in the air above the enemy base.

Others have been banned for that shit and it's far from "whining". You just came here to get ahead of it after I reported you so you can continue trolling.

Keep it up and I'll start grabbing video.

I didn't break any rules. I never fired a single shot into spawn. You're a good player, and that's exactly why I target you. It's not personal, just strategy.

I never see you complain when you're on my team and I take down 2-3 helis in a single spawn.

I don't bother complaining at you in game in general, don't feed the trolls. Doesn't make it right when you pull that BS on my side either. When we get tone lock the instant we spawn in base it's pretty fucking obvious what you are doing, there's even a name for it.

There's a "Soft" rule against using the laser/PLD from Parachute.

Parashitting is best avoided. It can be countered by just landing and repping out the dmg and waiting for them to touch down / run outta ammo.

You will gain no respect from other players for doing it and as you can see it makes others hostile towards you.

The heli is powerful yes but the F35 owns it when a good pilot is in it. You should practice that instead.

Practicing the F35 is how I typically end up parashitting. It's a difficult vehicle to master and I have to bail before getting shot down.

There have been at least two and maybe three other players that have been banned for parashitting. One for using PLD (GALACTICSTONE) and another for using an igla in and near enemy spawn (Cambone2cd/Moonshiner2cb). As Karek said in one of those threads:

If you're shooting as you leave the uncap, like many do you become fair game.
