Appeal Approved Ban Appeal

That always happens when battling for D, not against the rules. But if you have all the flags and the enemy is all backed up in their base and cant get out, thats a different story,
I agree with you there. When I see that they only have one flag or less I just drop back to the top flags and wait. We need more of our members to agree to sportsmanship rules and fall back.

Is not that, the issue reside at the follow of others, when you play jets, is ok, cuz they shoot you, chase is on, but using the birds, every one follow

Besides, I take 4 full rounds to people try to join back, was nasty
So, If I understand correctly, the justification for not firing back after being fired upon it is because people would escalate more attacks into base? I would also echo that isn't the sentiment through many convos with members in game.

When I was in, the ROE was not to fire at Mosques because they were religious sites. Meanwhile, everyone knew they were storing weapons caches in there, openly using as LP/OPs and regularly sniping at ground troops who could do nothing. You would have to get an act of god, run it ALL the way up the chain to get approval for destruction, which was rare. Meanwhile, our guys paid for it because hearts and minds....

My understanding is that if you are actively taking fire from a Geneva convention protected site that protection is then forfeit, but a response needs proportionality.

Speaking of sportsman's like conduct, jet ramming is technically not against the rules, but does get abuse often. Unless they are repeatedly doing it, it is hard to catch their name for the 2-3 timers. Is there a way to initiate a chat highlight when this happens, similar to the getting messages of getting run over in a vehicle.

Well according to the JAG, ROE's are permissive in nature which is round about away of saying restrictive. Under general circumstances, you are always allowed to return fire when fired upon, which includes Geneva protected sites. The key is that you minimize damage to protected sites like schools, churches, bridges and other specified sites. Proper force escalation of force is ofcourse a major consideration, but when someone is actively trying kill you, any method of conventional means is authorized pending collateral considerations.

Yes and the game gets boring, if they are stuck in base. I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of getting dominated into base anyway.

I doubt it. But what I do is look at the scoreboard after. If it's the same person dead every time and they have low kills and high deaths, they are likely the culprit. If you see the jet rammer coming at you, keep the scoreboard open and you can see their name go dark the instant they ram you.

I'll give that a try, but it might be difficult to discern if that is the rammer vs someone who just died on an obj. Even kill box in the upper right hand corner tends to roll quickly if multiple people are killed afterwards.

Instant replay is also useful for these things
