Hi all,

I have had and I've helped others that have, audio and microphone issues with a headset where either they can't be heard or they can't hear others in chat. So, I thought to post a thread here to help.

Before beginning, I would recommend resetting your in-game audio options to default or if after trying the steps below you're still having issues then reset to default afterwards.

A lot of times the biggest issue is with others not being able to hear your mic in chat when maybe the day before everything was fine. Here are some simple steps to try and correct that.

First close out your brower and battlelog.
Next, go to the speaker icon on your taskbar, I have Windows 10 but should be the same for most other versions of Windows.

Now goto the Sound tab and make sure all other audio options are disabled, by means of right clicking and choose Disable.

Click on the Headset option and make it your Default communication option.

Fire up your browser and battlelog again and join the server!

Hope this helps someone.

Thanks for post Animallll. Had problems with my mic last week. Come to find out my mic just plainly died.................STRYKER.

sometimes I can't be heard in chat either...but I think they are just ignoring me

Test the mic in Windows before you launch the game and make sure it is configured correctly. Make sure it is the Default Communication Device (both sound and recording).

Also, try disconnecting then reconnect your mic/headset (if analog) while in game. This might not work if its a USB headset and most likely you'll lose sound until you close the game and restart the browser or even the computer.

I'll bring it over here.
Did you reset your in-game audio settings back to default?
The LEFT Alt button is the default Push-to-Talk.
Don't have any other program using audio running in the background such as TS, Skype etc. until you figure out if your game is connecting to the microphone correctly.
What hardware do you have? Headset? External speakers? Monitor? Connected by USB, HDMI, Analog or other?

I've tried every fix under the sun. I've got a Corsair Void RGB headset (USB). It works fine in TS. I tried resetting BF4's settings, reinstalling it (and Windows, as I mentioned). I tried turning devices on and off, updating drivers, BIOS, etc. My conclusion is that I've got Hardware Gremlins, or something along those lines.

Code:
ASUS PRIME X370-PRO
AMD Ryzen 1700
16GB Corsair Vengance 3200MHz RAM
ASUS ROG STRYX GTX 1070
(2)ACER G257HL 1080p Displays
1 NVMe SSD
1 SATA SSD
3 HDD
1 External HDD
ASUS Xonar DX Sound Card

I put a lot of research into the issue before I gave up.

I have another possibility. Fire up Origin, in the top left of the application click on ORIGIN. In the drop-down menu choose APPLICATION SETTINGS and then over to the right click on the VOICE tab.
Make sure all of those settings are correct.

Also, your signature is all fk'd up again. I just posted a help vid for Stryker....check it out and see if it helps....it can be found on this page of the forums: http://aarpclan.com/showthread.php?1821-Hello-again-friends-)&p=21050#post21050

Good luck brother!
