A Modest Proposal

I'd like to revive this thread. Just to remind everyone, this is a suggestion to put in those big orange letters in the middle of the screen when someone has been killed or kicked for camping in the AA.
I also have an additional/alternative suggestion. Maybe we could put that rule (no camping in the AA at the ends of the map) in the middle of the screen when a player joins.

Do camping AA fkr's really need this much attention? Rules scroll in chat enough for anyone to see and if they come into forums just cut and paste the rules.

I believe they do. Someone misusing the AA has a massive affect on your ability to do anything. And people doing this happens so damn frequently these days. I think these people that camp in the AA don't even have chat showing. Either that or they ignore it. They don't change tactic when they see their whole team yelling at them.

I'd say this is the number 1 complaint without a doubt but what can you do. The rules are posted and everyone in the game raising hell about it. It's a double edge sword, Admin trying to manage but not over manage it. This will become less of an issue once all the COVID "Scrubs" (Thats for u Stryker) go back to work.

Well, for the time being, ain't nothing wrong with trying to make it better right?

I DONT WANT TO SEE ANYMORE SHIT COME ACROSS MY SCREEN

Ok Maybe one more for this.

Way back in the day when I did Admin on a server it was an available function in procon - although I wouldnt advise using !nukeall unless absolutely necessary :)

I recall seeing that happen. I was usually on the shit team so welcome nuke.

I hereby propose that on the occasion someone is kicked/killed by an admin for general misbehavior, that a message gets posted up in the middle of the screen. Messages in the chat often go totally unnoticed, but a brief "Le011 has been KILLED for CAMPING IN THE AA" in orange letters in the middle of the screen would clearly set an example that camping in uncap is not a welcome practice. While spamming the admin message feature is almost universally regarded as annoying, the infrequent camper/griefer is way worse. This would serve as a warning and I believe lower the amount of camping among regulars to the AARP servers. What do yall think?

Marvelous, simply marvelous. (with general applause)

After the 3rd time getting killed in AA for camping the camping sally will get the idea vs putting big colored letters in the way of me seeing my gun sight for 10 sec and dying all because the same camping sally can't read english rules in chat. What about the 3 tanks that have gave up there game plan to push the camping sally 1400 meters trying to get him to engage but at the same time the AA may be trying to fight his way out of uncap because they only have one base but still gets called a camper.
The server will be ok without trying to micro manage it for every little thing that bothers someone and the AA is not the only problem but it is a game that has lasted 7 years without all the silly rules.
