I'm retired here thankfully, just waiting on good ground Internet. Stuck with Starlink for now.

Starlink has been pretty impressive for me, at my farm the ping to CHI went from 100 down to ~40 with less packet loss vs the cellular internet I had previously.

Does it feel better than cable? I mean from 100 to 40 is awesome. Does it feel faster?

No, cable is better. My place in town has 1gbit cable and it's approx 50-60ping but stable/no packet loss.

its comparable to a good LTE/wireless connection but the latency was what really impressed me. 20 years ago we had hughesnet and pings were like 350ms, then wireless HSPA/LTE came along and it was 90-110, now this is 40ms, from basically in the middle of nowhere.

Biggest downside is cost.

Right, it's amazing compared to the wired connection available here, but I'm eagerly awaiting fiber this summer.

Starlink will make camping out in the wilderness much more enjoyable though for sure.
