I turned off Win 10 auto update feature.

I wait to see if other folks are getting hosed first, or if the path is clear before installing updates

You can do this using the Windows Update service. Via Control Panel > Administrative Tools, you can access Services. In the Services window, scroll down to Windows Update and turn off the process. To turn it off, right-click on the process, click on Properties and select Disabled. That will take care of Windows Updates not being installed on your machine.

Note: You don't have to "Disable" it entirely. I have mine set to "Manual" so I control when I get updated. (Shown Below)

If you do have the March 1 update (KB4482887) already installed you can try a restore point prior to that update.

I don't think Win 10 will allow you to uninstall an update that has been applied already.

U need to setup the services as disable instead of manual, becuase if you open windows store or any other metro app, they'll update anyways, no matter what, being dealing with those features, plus the update settings at modern control panel, set to not use the "per-to-per" option', is like Napster but for windows

Windows 10 Home Edition is far more restrictive on what underlying settings you can change, including Windows Update. I believe it will self-restart stopped Update services, and even override Registry changes.
