Just curious, if you had to move, where would you go.
I know, you guys are from all over the states and just want to hear your opinion. Me and my ole lady gona be moving back to mainland in the future/3-5 years and we are looking to find that place to call home, again. I know 3-5 years is a long time, but we have to start looking at least. I have lived in Florida, Tampa Bay area and i love it there buy can`t convince my girl to commit to the swamp lol. Im going to keep pushing for Florida but in case i have to have a backup
lol. It`s getting too crowded here on this island Oahu and im starting to hate driving 2 hours to work every day because of the traffic. Also, living in Waikiki with streets being closed for festivities very often is hell.
We love small towns and country living style, so that is going to be our choice. We are not in hurry to go but we want to start looking and not just leave at the moment notice. If not a big deal, drop a line and tell me where and why do you like it. I also have friends in few places that im going to visit and check before we decided to go.
Thanks.

Colorado Springs is an awesome medium city. Lots of sunshine, bike trails are everywhere, and it is, last I checked, the least obese state if you like fit people.

Of course if you can afford to live in the mountains on CO that's even better.

The downside is water availability, high demand, and occasional wildfires.

Also it's near the top of any nuclear strike plan.

Since I have a decent chunk of land what already I would probably check out another place in Michigan, if I had to move. Something with access to a decent river or lake, but that's more than I want to spend, especially in taxes

How do you feel about -20f for a few months of the year
This. I like Ohio, escaped here from NY several years back, but man it gets cold - summers (when they come) are beautiful. If you're looking for something somewhat temperate, Georgia might be an option. The Carolinas are not bad either, if you like apocalyptic hurricanes.

Hey, yep. Georgia and the Carolinas are full now, but we may have some openings after 2075.
