Here's a blue line version that I made for my married cop neighbors. Their badge numbers are on the blue line and i went with copper-gilded badges instead of carved stars. I was never thrilled with it, but they liked it as did another cop whom I made one for.
It's pretty much done. I might put another coat of oil on it tomorrow, but for now it is airing out. Cherry frame with birdseye maple inlay, dovetail joints, and a tung oil, hand-rubbed finish.
