I did a recent tear-down on that card also. THANKS 8bAd8!!!!!!!!!! It needs a lil TLC, some fresh thermo paste, a fan and fan wires, so I thought I share with you guys a complete tear-down and rebuild.

Average benchmarks has the 670 about 25% faster and about 4% higher FPS despite the 670 being more than 3 years older. Compared to my old 650, both cards will kick it's ass!
