Soo many different cards its well wtf to use ya i get my specs are low but not for BF 4 they are not i was playing BF 4 on ultra with no problems but 760s are hard to find.

thanks in advance

I like my gtx 1080. thankfully I got it last summer before prices skyrocketed. also on 4k but had to reduce settings slightly for a stable 60 fps. (paired with a ryzen 7 amd)

I got a 1070, back before the prices went through the roof. Once the 2070/2080 come out the prices should drop, or you'll find tons of them on ebay from miners. They're usually still in good shape, since they tend to under-volt the GPUs

Thanks for the info Karek appreciate it.

Be careful with video cards that have been used to mine bitcoin. A lot of the time they have a different bios flashed on them. Sometimes they also have shitty re-solder jobs on them too.

the best advice is to not buy anyone's used mining cards. we gamers push our cards for sure but miners run them 24/7. i don't care how cheap they sell for i reuse to buy a mining card.exp from ebay card thats refurbished and has a warrentee sure but only then. And why should we bail out the people responsible for the video card shortage AND price increases F them i say.

Agree 100%

And for the thread question i decided on a "Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1050 2GB GDDR5 128 Bit PCI-E Graphic Card (GV-N1050OC-2GD)" hope it works its a PCIE so the board should handle it i may have to use low setting on some games but get what i can afforded at this point. next yr this time will have a i7 something lol hopefully. its funny the processor i have was the best they made when it came out now ....not so much lol getting expensive trying to own a PC that can handle modern games.

the 1050Ti is probably a better investment than the 1050. The 1050's 2GB of VRAM won't get you very far. 4 is basically the minimum for most, if not all, modern big games. (There is a 1050 3GB too, which functions even better)

And i get that, but im limited by my EVGA 790i ultra sli mother board and my Core 2 extreme X9650 processor. hell the evga teck said i should use an 660i on low setting for BF 4 lol i was using a 760 on high until it crapped out for almost 2 years. and it might be more then my video card. My problem is i cant play any video games.they start then crash to a black screen that takes a hard shutdown to restart.I can watch YouTube play any videos use all my programs with no problem hell i can even push video to my 43 inch vizio tv monitor using hdmi. lol Ive researched every possible reason and fix hahahah what i found is their is no real answer. The things i can rule out i did and that was the memory.and power source, so im hoping this will give me time to save up for a new PC and i don't like that idea because Microsoft windows 10 is a data mining spyware laden POS.

That sounds almost like a power problem either to the GPU, or CPU (or both). The PSU might be rated high enough, but if they don't push enough actual power per rail then it'll still fumble and crash. The 700-900 series were particularly power hungry (and put out a lot of heat). The 1000-series redesign does a lot more per-watt.

A new 1060 is ~280 USD on Amazon as I look as of posting.

I have 2 980's in SLI but if I were you I'd NOT buy any of the RTX cards till you see some price drops and reviews be-it reviews of the RTX or a price drop of the 1080Ti's 11GB.... I'm banking on the 1080TI for my next upgrade. My 980s have served me well. Anyone want them?

There's a lot of shady shit going on with the RTX cards as well, like Nvidia targeting people who say "don't preorder it" and the lack of any concrete, numerical stats.

i bought the 1050 so im in the market for a whole new PC lol mines just good for utube and other non power hungry older programs like i have. it too served me well been playing BF4 since day one on it but now .lol cant even use my headphones i try to use voice and the sound goes out so its time for something new. Going to build my own i5 something just too expensive and too much time to save for the i7s. im 61 the 20th my BF4 days are numbered take me 2 years to save enough for an i7 gut buster lol

What about Team Red? The Ryzen platform actually brings something to the table now. The Ryzen 7s offer 8-Core, 16-Thread CPUs, and every Ryzen chip, from the bottom of the barrel, all the way up to the top of the line can be overclocked as well, where Intel charges you for the privilege on specific chips.
