Windows bugging me to upgrade to Win 11. I did it once several months ago but had serious performance issues in game, so rolled back. Wondering if anyone has upgraded lately and found it beneficial.

I’m conflicted between new/shiny vs ain’t broke don’t fix it.

lol, I was on XP for years after it became a legacy OS then finally went to windows 7, now windows 10. I'm more of an 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' guy.

I tried 3 times, no joy with my Ryzen setup, I read somewhere about issues with the way that w11 manages the cache latency or something like that, can't recall

Did Windows 11 come with an extray boot up screen? Mine did that a couple of weeks ago and now having issues with downloading Nvidia drivers. Wonder if my computer problems is Windows trying to update to 11.

Well, my computer is too old/not a secure MB to upgrade to Win 11 so it is win10 with a GTX 1080 for the foreseeable future. I use 11 for work and have no issues. Never had issues with 10 though either. I was looking into how to upgrade this computer and another one I have sitting around and all things are reasonable except for the video cards which cost a fortune. I have been upgrading computers about every 7 years lately but I am dragging this out now.

I'm in the same boat and feel likewise regarding GPU prices. I can make this GTX 1070 last another 4 years easy.
