Lost and confused
This doesn't look good. I've been out of town since last Tuesday and boot up> I see this

Punkbuster: Game disconnected: you were kicked by PunkBuster. Stated reason: Punkbuster permanent ban issued on this Game Server for player "Unsisourcememphis'....Global Punkbuster GUID Ban 4f852094


Go to Punkbuster: The PunkBuster GUID that is associated with your CD key/game account has been permanently banned. You will need to purchase a new game account and/or CD key to play again.

The Punkbuster site seem useless.

Is this true I have to start over??? Any help would be appreciated - such bs It's bullet's fault...
 
That's not good.

If they are saying you have to buy a new game then yes.

What version of windows are you using?
 
Having played with you a while I do not believe you are using cheat software.

Your account could have been hacked or it could be a false positive. Neither of which make a difference in unbanning the account. EvenBalance did it and we cannot over rule that.
 
You have to take it up with Evenbalance, and they've only reversed a few bans in their entire history. Unfortunately, since the ban was done on a server that does not stream PBBANs, we don't know the specific reason.

However, there was definitely a server visited that did not have third-party anti-cheat on it.
 
Memphis you should visit the forums more often and you would have known there was an issue with Win 7 and Punkbuster. For shits sake dude you were in TS and knew how many of our friends got busted for Win 7 even after Punkbuster denied it was the problem. Right now as I see it you will have to upgrade to Win 10 buy a new game, or key to be able to play any Punkbuster Servers. Sorry for the bad news dude, it sucks for sure......................STRYKER.

Hey Memphis --

Why does your forum country flag say Belarus?

Been thru this mess too. If you have Win7, I suspect that is the problem. Evenbalance isnt like to overturn, but try an appeal. Took about a week for me to get a form response denying the appeal.

I had to buy a new license and started from scratch. Good luck.
 
I think it just may be a little bit easier for someone to hack your account on win7....how about we get some daredevil to load up win 7 and use it for a whole year?
How about you Karek you want to chance it on what Evenbalance say's?
I know im not that brave
The one common that we know in all this is win7... there could be more.
I'm not saying everyone is clean but I know quite a few that I would stake my life on were not cheating.

There were no dramatic changes in IPs for Unisource's account, which would suggest there was no account theft. There was a round played on a Punkbuster-enabled server, which had no third-party anti-cheat setup on it. My assumption is that since PBBANs declares it as a "Cached Data" ban, then the ban was originally 'created' on that server. Punkbuster does not always ban you immediately if it catches you in the act, attempting to 'keep the cheater guessing' for when they got caught.

Now, I'm not outright saying that Uni was cheating, but I am also not ruling out the possibility. There are many different things that could trip PB. For example, I believe that "Sound Radar" programs that come with Soundcard Bloatware is something that would trip the cheat detection. If Uni uses Cheat Engine (a memory editor) for other games, that would quickly set off PB if left running in the background, as two examples.

Unfortunately, we don't know specifically what the ban was for, since it didn't get logged to PBBANs.
