Hey folks, Nice to make your acquaintance.

I really enjoy this group.

This is the BEST server and the most fun BF4 group I have played with. I'm no noob, I've been playing these games since the old days when computers were young, but I may seem like one based on my (low) skillz. I am a 57 yr old neuropsychologist in Canada, so I'm super busy in my practice clinics. But when I want to play, I come here.

I'm no star. More like a journeyman. I run, I kill, and I get killed. Respawn, repeat. I never shit-talk, I don't whine, I never name-call, I don't even teabag (much). I just go balls-out for objectives and try to kill more than I die...

Thanks for this fantastic server and the best map for all types of fighting: air, vehicles and up-close-and-personal knife fights.

That handle is based on a character from an Ian Banks novel. He was the worse, nastiest, meanest, cold-hearted villain you can imagine. I figured for a game that is entirely based on hurting others, it was appropriate. Now, back to the killing.....

Hey there! Welcome ot the group.

I'll have to try some Banks. Nothing like a neuropsychologist's recommendation for a nasty, cold-hearted villain.

Look forward to catching you in game (so to speak) =)

Cheers!

You may play in the "normal", where you get magically heals with fairy dust and vehicles heal themselves, too fucking funny to ignore, but let me inform you sir that we also have a hardcore server where it's more lifelike. Bullets dont care friend from for, a medic bag is needed to get healed, an engineer has to repair a vehicle, claymore and grenades cant differentiate enemy fighters from friendlies. Being a doctor of your profession, you could relate to a hardcore setting. We also offer a plethora of maps instead of a scratched record, playing over and over again. We even include a few Infantry maps where the air is fresh and skies clear.
I look forward to meeting you in our hardcore server!

Hey and welcome to the forums. Glad your enjoying the server.

I'm going to have to add Matter to my list of books to read. I like the brief synopsis I've read.

Hey thanks. I will check hardcore out. I have played several combat games that amp up the realism and simulate everything from fatigue, mood, morale, hunger and body odour in the avatars we push around to shoot at each other. "Squad" is a good recent one that comes to mind. In addition to the learning curve and time investment required that puts me off a bit, the added realism alters what I get out of the game experience I seek. I play to release stress, not experience more. I want to get in touch with my inner Berserker and feel empowered, invulnerable, and emboldened by general ass-kickery. As realism goes up, I get more stressed and feel more like I would in a real actual firefight situation where the stakes are really really high: quivering in a corner, shitting my pants and experiencing significant traumatic stress. That's not why I play games. I LIKE the fairy dust healing and magically repairing vehicles. I think the devs got the realism and fun gameplay balance right for my personal preferences. I know this is a taste issue and everyone's personal preference is a but different, but I like carrying ridiculous amounts of weapons, running huge distances, soaking up 50 cal rounds like they were airsoft pellets, and hiding behind a crate for 3 breaths until I "feel better" to 100% health. Silly? Absolutely, but its the low-stress, fun gameplay experience I generally like.

Couldn't agree more. Enjoy the server!
