Trying to prevent PING Kicks

I get kicked for "NO PING"

this is odd to me. I use speedtest.net to check cross country ping times (USA. Iceland is my adopted country) and I am under 100ms.

I have a ping and a reasonable ping.

I do know that ping packets are lowest priority traffic and are discarded when throughput is maxed, but speedtest says my speed is typical internet access data rates and it is good enough to stream HD video. (I do stream HD videos).

I cannot explain this "NO PING."

I am trying not to get banned here.

Oh, I am in USA. Iceland is my adopted country.

Also, I do not mask myself.

I get a ping from speedtest from across the USA as under 100ms. local pings are under 25ms

You are running or using something to mask your ping. Turn it off and you should be able to play.

The problem is that people who normally have pings too high to play on a server will mask it (there's several ways to do it) so they can play anyways, even if they normally have a 400 ping. That leads to all sorts of issues for the masking player, and everyone else on the server. It also makes someone look suspicious as-is, since "Why hide it, if you've nothing to hide?".

you do have a no ping kick. I had a bottleneck in the router that I fixed. I was dropping packets and pings are the first ones dropped.

anyway, I no longer have the issue.
