Was playing on the HC server yesterday with Shrimper, when my PC just died. Couldn't start it back up, so I opened it up, and everything was so hot I couldnt keep my hand on it. I already have watercooling inside, but as the room temps are around 85-90f my CPU and GPU went up to a whooping 160f! Our European houses are made for winters, so we don't have AC here. Aside from putting a fan to blow air onto my PC I have no other ideas to cool it all down. I am open to suggestions though!

I am running five fans in my coolermaster case and it keeps it running cool. I have friends that have taken the sides off their case and have used a portable fan to cool down the inside. The only draw back is if you are using chat some times it picks up the fan noise in the back ground................STRYKER

Dont use you touch as whether or not the electronics are hot. I had that happen to one of my water cooled PC's and the water pump had quit. Most likely if it will try to start for a couple of seconds and then shuts down.

Unfortunately ambient air temps will effect your cooling and 85-90F is really hot to begin with. IS your GPU water cooled also.

If you cant being the ambient temps down, maybe you can reduce screen size and textures to put less stress on your CPU GPU

What mr whitefish said is correct. If the outside temp is that warm then it will not be able to transfer heat as efficiently. Also, your water pump could not be working either. Just because you have fans blowing on it, its blowing hot air right where the heat transfers and it's not able to wick the heat away. Buy a window unit to cool the room down.

My GPU is aircooled, its the rtx2080 8gb, I am looking into a bigger case, as i have a mini itx case for travelling, it fits in my backpack. but since i travel every 4-6 months having a big case was out of the picture. i might just buy a big case wherever i go, and just transfer the internals. It was fine in Hawaii but I had an AC in the room so it was nice and cold. I need to check, because I think BF4 is running in 4k as all games automatically do for my 4k monitor. will see how the temps go today after all the changes.

Oh man I have on mine 6 fans in Winter no problem in Summer either and I have no water cool thingy maggigy

I have a 2080TI and could start a fire in my case........... With that being said I have zero problems from either my GPU or CPU

Yeah, I havent had problems with it before, definitely performance-wise, I havent stumbled upon a game I cant run on ultra without problems yet, afterall my rig is made for video editing. However the tiny case and high temperatures started becoming issues when summer came. Here is my build in detail with descriptions https://pcpartpicker.com/b/Wy3bt6

Very Nice!!!The case is most likely the culprit. :)

Agreed. Nice setup but that's tight and limited airflow for such high ambient temps.

You may want to consider a Mid-Tower, if you want airflow, but something not-huge. I have a rather unassuming Corsair 200R for my case, and it's got enough fan ports on it to keep things moving. Mini-ITX cases are great for small form-factor, but you can only pack so much power in them, before the available cooling solutions can't keep up anymore.

Yeah my main goal was to fit it in my backpack, so i can take it on the plane as carry-on. I have achieved that however the high temps have ruined my perfect plan It is literally the size of a PlayStation 3

I'm surprised they let that inside the cabin on a plane. Especially with water cooling.

My CPU runs around 71 degrees Celsius under heavy load. Thats about 159 degrees Fahrenheit. My computer is an Asus ROG G20CB, which is smaller form factor. Not the best for airflow or room to work. I stuffed it with an NVME M.2 to run as a primary, a SSD for other games and kept the 1tb mech drive in it for storage. I used to toggle the BIOS to make the fans run 100% all the time, but I don't think it made too much of a difference. Keeping the AC on in the summer does make a difference.

Open side of case and if possible keep from under desk.... note that having side open you will need to clean more.make sure case you own has great ventilation- mine has 3 front, 2 rear, large top fan and door fan. Only thing that sucks with mine is taking both doors off to clean front draw filters ..... oh well it's safe:)

Yup it sure is! You need better air flow.. Maybe some 5 lb cube of ice.. lol!

Relocating for summer is an option....
