Most likely a loading glitch. Sometimes it just happens when you load into a match, certain people are invisible.
But I'm pretty sure there is a separate exploit where you can make yourself invisible.

There may be some confusion here. The guy who was reported (sapakette03) was banned.

I asked for an example of someone getting banned for invisibility before sapakette03 got banned, and that was the one that was reversed.

So it seems the reason they lifted his ban was because they decided the reason he was invisible was due to a loading glitch from the guy recording, not because he was cheating.

I don't know anything about Dice's documentation, I doubt they care about BF4 glitches. But I've experienced it and I've heard other people experience it. It is more frequent on certain maps.

A typical loading glitch is when you cant see the loadout of certain players on the enemy team when they kill you, and you can't hear lock-ons coming from them.

There is a loading glitch where you can't see some players. The only way to fix these is by restarting the game.

Maybe @KarekCat can elaborate? I might be wrong about some things.
