OK....I think I'm Stable right here.....going to leave it alone and see how it handles games at 5ghz

This friggin thing rips...its got a real "WOW!" / "Holy Shit Batman!" factor to it.

Looking good dog! Post some stress test specs!

I just put a PCIe NVMe drive last weekend and a fresh install of Windows 10.

Haven't actually timed the boots but it's possibly a second or 2 faster than with the Evo SSD. Everyones computer boot times will vary wildly depending on the hardware, how many things you have loading up with Windows and their bios settings.

The game loads a little faster too and I'm using in game long before the masses. I have an older i5 4690K currently running at 4.5GHz with an H60 2018 push pull fans, also bought recently.

Keep us updated!

I'm pleased.....this thing is Lickety split fast,

Hey the one in the back is it the old beatsy!

The only real thing you'll probably have to watch for is Voltage. I had to tune mine higher for video rendering, otherwise the process would crash randomly.

Indeed, so true.

I posted on the EVGA Z390 forum in a post titled Z390 BSOD's. (Which I was aggravatingly having)

Some real helpful folks correctly had me:
  1. Install the new Bios V1.3
  2. Change Vcore voltage from "Adaptive" at .925v to "Override" at 1.25v
  3. Change the multiplier to 48 (Now at 50)
  4. Change CSM from "Enabled" to "Disabled" for PCIe NVMe support

And boom....stable and fast.

That said, I am going to keep an eye on temps and both voltage as the 9900k run hot at default 3.6ghz and I have it OC'd to 5ghz right now. I also read about monitoring Vdroop to see LLC if they play nice in the sandbox. I don't want LLC overcompensating and frying my CPU. So I may need to limit it.

Learning a new chipset after having gotten the X79 wired....always fun.
