OK....Done

Sweet! I have my bios set to CSM Enabled and UEFI boot for my NVMe drive and did a clean install of Windows 10 without any issues. I decided to go with a clean install and after I just plugged in my old SSD and pulled all the data off of it that I wanted.

I'm curious about your boot times. How long will it take from a cold pc start (powered off completely, not standby or some low power state) to the first time you see your desktop wallpaper.

Thanks Dog!

Damn I am not gay but you fucking guys make me hot with all this fancy computer talk. I am the guy that goes to Firefox opens Battlelog connects to game and plays. Damn if something goes wrong it is a trip to the computer shop to have it fixed. At one time I thought about building my own computer from scratch but than I figured I would have to do a lot of reading and scraped the idea. I like the plug and play feature, plug it in and play..............STRYKER.

3-4 seconds....Max

I hit the button and I'm "THERE" by the time I look at the screen

@Stryker Well, you figured out your forum signature after about a year

Never stop learning!

@Dog I recorded my pc's boot time at 17 seconds from dead cold to desktop. 17 seconds includes the bios booting (fast boot enabled) but once the bios loads it takes the system about 3-4 seconds for Windows to first show the desktop then another 10-12 seconds for all the startup apps to finish loading.

So by the time I push the power button, grab my coffee (or beer) and get comfy, Windows is loaded.

Did you guys saw a figure or a shadow behind the screen??? LoL!!!!

Didn't record it, but button push to pw screen was 13 seconds

10 seconds from the post beep

It's timer starts when you press the power button and ends when your wallpaper and taskbar are visible.

Let's see that recording of a 3-4 second cold boot because you have these guys beat by a full second.
