next modern battlefield

are we going to geta server for the next battlefield when it comes out? the rumor I'd seen was that it was going to be another modern version, but I didn't look into it much.

I tried BF One since I have origin access, and it just wasn't for me. I would be willing to chip in for another server though if the next game looks promising.

Really? Every rumor I've read say it will be set in WWII.

I occasionally play Bf1 but I don't like the WWI setting and how slow its plays.

If they do WWII I hope they figure out how to speed it up a bit. COD2 back in the day was decent.
 
I've heard it's WWII as well. Hell I still play Battlefield 1942. I was hoping for it to be based in Afghanistan or Iraq. Either way I will buy it. Just like every battlefield before it. And every COD before too. I cut my teeth on MOHAA and COD, 2002 and 2003 respectfully.

I too will donate/sponsor a server.
 
so with the release of BF1, they stopped letting people/squads run servers... all server were run by EA/Dice. They have since backed off that but i hear they still control most of the game. so it may not be an option.

the other shitty thing they did was severed their relationship with PBBans so cheating is rampant on BF1 and still is a major problem.

Lets hope they learned from the BF1 fiasco and fix both of those issues.....

Oh Yeah I forgot about that. The hacking was/is pretty bad. I liked COD 2 but I thought the maps were too linear. I always thought that if the Battlefield franchise did WW2 they would make it a ton better.

I heard the game play on COD WW2 wasn't good.
 
COD 4 was the last version for me.................. I really would like a modern fighter.

No, they stopped using punkbuster, which in turn means you cant stream through PBBANS.
 
I feel retarded for responding to this post due to the fact I spent $140.00 on the premium BF1 Package and have played it 43 hours. The game literally sucks ass so I hope Dice has learned a lesson. As for you COD Players where the hell are the tanks? I bought two or three in the series before I figured out I am to lazy and blind to play close quarter games like COD. I also bought a couple of the MOH Games but for some reason they never caught on and had a bunch of empty servers. Dice also dropped the ball by having people log on through Origin, what a pain in the ass that is. So I went back to logging on through Battle Log for BF4,much smoother process to get into the game. Lets hope Dice cleans up their act and releases another great game like BF4 instead of going backward.

they suckered lots of people. I had wasted money on battlefront because I am a star wars fan, then played it far less than 40 hours. battlefront 2 I completely skipped, but apparently my little brother is some kind of savant in those games with flying.

I jumped in BF1 last night after our server crashed. I wanted to see the new maps they recently released.

Graphics amazing. Game play mediocre to boring (at least with the new maps). Hackers blatant. Seems easier to spot hacking in BF1. Maybe its because they lowered bullet damage and nothing is a 1 shot kill aside from a sniper headshot.

I bought BF1 and Battlefront I and II with premium so don't feel bad. I buy games I think I would like. I don't really care what others say about a game. Everyone has different tastes.
 
At first I heard it was going to be called BF 2018 in a modernized setting with drones and all but the latest rumours has it set in WW2

I think a WW2 setting would be great. As long as EA isn’t running the servers. If they are I will NOT pay for or play a game that lets hackers run rampant like BF1.

This game needs dedicated servers with independent admins or it will fail just like the PC version of COD MW2

Agreed... BF4 was the last time I pre-ordered anything form EA. They were even sued for insider trading. They knew the game was shit while in beta and the lead stock holders of EA sold their stock the night before BF4 officially launched. They made a killing.
