New Nvidia card specs ?

It's very conveniently timed, considering the recent AMD GPU leaks. Rumored to outperform the RTX 2080 Super (or Ti, I don't remember which).
I have this 1080 which is still doing just fine for BF4, think I'll wait for the next Nvidia before I upgrade, or wait till the price drops on the 2000 series.. lol .
It won't happen Nvidia is almost as bad as Intel when it comes to holding prices on their products.
Now that the bitcoin bullcrap is over with you can pickup the last gen of cards for pretty cheap on ebay, I'm guessing you will see the same pattern with the 2000 series once the 3000 series come out. I'm itching to build a new rig but when I'm getting 90-100 FPS in 4K with my current rig in BF4 it's hard to justify the coin even though it's considered "old" now... My kids have been stealing the rig to play their games more and more so it might not be a bad time to think about pulling the trigger and hand the old rig down, I spent around $1900 on the last build in 2016 if I divide the dollar by the hours it's cheaper then going to the movies...lol
Well look at what happened to Intel when AMD started contesting their market, prices dropped. If the rumours about a new AMD GPU are true, then the same might happen to Nvidia. We already saw them respond to the RX5700 with a free performance boost on their RTX2000 series cards (SUPER).
The "SUPER" idea was so dumb. I hope they don't do it again. It makes it even harder for people to figure out what to buy.
Yeah it was their way of 1 upping AMD. Must have made some Nvidia people mad if they got a card before SUPER. But it was a performance increase without a price increase. They wouldn't have to give away free performance if AMD didn't give them a reason too.
At the end of the day its how the game developer optimizes the game to work with the card that really matters.
