Background just cleared on my SV9 S&W going to get it tomorrow. Anyone want to celebrate with this fish?!

I typed the wrong model but it probably has the same issues. it is the SD9 VE. It does feel a little too loose for my taste, but that is an easy upgrade

Is it an SD9VE? If it is i have 1 good Home def gun but... Shit trigger. Its a 8 1/2lb trigger and its gritty but it shoots straight (when you get the trigger down). NOT CCW!!!. When i got mine it had problems feeding so you have to polish the feed ramp. Also you have to take apart the mags and file the plastic down on the follower. Cheap molding so there is thin extra plastic on it. after that mine runs like a champ. over 3500 rounds no problems.

youtube will show you how to take 1 of the 2 trigger springs out or get a kit like I did for mine. My M&P 40 cal has a 2 pound trigger pull so does my svd 9mm. The reason behind the high trigger pull is there is no safety on these firearms and 2 many people were drawing from holsters with finger in trigger very bad practice. I do not use holsters changed mine to 2 pound pull. Yes I know Canadians hove guns we have lots. I liked the 9mm so much got a 9mm ruger breack down carbine with a red dot sight. they all work well and reliable. have 1500 rounds out the svd 9 is a nice reliable firearm

That exact one actually. Wife said it fired great... when she put one through our front door on accident. So I am jealous she got to fire it before me.
Best part. Her dad was here... Projectile ended up in his front passenger side. Going to make the casing into a necklace for her now. Fun day that one.

Do you say not a CCW because of the lack of safeties on it?

Carried that model for a while. Wife as well. Upgraded to Ruger and Springfield :)

Nothing wrong with the SD / SV's from S&W. They get the job done !!!

cant go wrong with a smithie I have a gen 4 glock 43 and a gen 4 glock 23
